Hi , well my name is Dharmesh, i am from Dubai, applyed for canada and hope to get visa soon. Well i just want to know about shipping market in canada.
Because i am working with shipping company in dubai as an Import /Export documentation executive. I heard its very difficult to get job in canada specailly in shipping they prefer only "Goras" is it true???
Well can any one help me out whose are in the same industry , shipping or logistics or forwarding company. or any one who migrate from dubai !!!
can you guys help me out to get such informaion.

There are number of logistics and/or forwarding firms in Toronto area. There is one I can think of called Expeditors. They are on Northam Drive in
Mississauga. Google it for more info.
There are plenty of jobs in this sector. The typical salaries are around $12 to $15 to start off. The most important is that these are office desk jobs.
The most crucial thing here is your networking skills. You need to do a volunteer job for atleast 6 months to get into a good company. The ideal location for these jobs are Mississauga and area around Pearson International Airport.
Remember most of the goods are imported into North America. Do you also have experience in land and air cargo ?.

I would suggest to contact emp. agencies such as Manpower to get into one of these firms. Then you can start looking around or work out a deal with the same firm. As shankaracharya mentioned, these are office jobs. If you are good in computers (MS office), that adds to your cv and your chances of standing out in the pack is good.
