I have received my landing papers last month. I have to land before
April 2004, so I decided to land in January 2004. At present I am in
US on H1 Visa and I am planning to land through Niagara Border by
Drive. I have few questions to you experts.
I am planning to drive my US Registered Car and cross the border and come back to US after couple of days. Do I need to bring my car Title and any other documents to show it customs. I don't have any plan to import at present. If any one has experience please write the details.
Because of the short period I have to come back to US after landing
and settle e'thing and go back permanently after 6-8 months. I am
planning to give my cousin's address for sending PR. Is this a
problem? Recently I heard that they are asking to collect PR in
person? Anybody has any experience?

somebody, who has just migrated ( say 15 days or 1 month back), can tell me whether income tax clearance was asked for.
If some one has just taken flight to Canada from India, with a changeover in U.K, whether transit visa for U.K is required alongwith an immgrn visa of Canada

You can give your cousin's address and the PR card will be sent there.
Your cousin can then forward it to you in the US.
However, keep in mind that sometimes (maybe randomly) some new immigrants are asked to pick-up the card in person.
In that case, you will have to apply for a Travel Document in the US and go to Canada to collect your PR card.
Shouldn't be a problem though.
Not sure about your question about the car. I would also like to know.

Income tax clearance from where?
If from India, then I don't think you need any kind of clearance from anybody.
You are not giving up your citizenship - just becoming a PR of another country for now.
As for your travel, you will need UK transit visa too.

For other's info- if u have a P.R visa of Canada & valid air tkts to Canada, u do not need a DATV (Direct Airside Transit Visa) to travel thru U.K
