Hi Afan,
Answers to your questions:
1. Each department in each university has it's own admission criteria, you need to contact them to find out whether your 3 year degree is sufficient or not.
2. Including accomodation, medical, grocery, utilities, travel etc your monthly expense should not exceed $ 800. There are students who can manage in as less as 400 dollar and well there is no upper limit for those who can afford it !
3. You can only work off campus after you complete one year at the university/college, for a maximum of 20 hours per week. Finding a job depends on you, but it's easy as there a lot of part time jobs available these days. Though you will need to apply for a work permit.
Hope this helps.

Hi khubuseth,
Thanks. That would be much helpful.
Now, I’m contacting directly to universities and getting useful information. In Alberta, Edmonton I do like University of Alberta especially I’ve got required course BUT there are some issue like GRE Anyway.
khubuseth, I heard Alberta is booming regarding opportunities & jobs ,is that ? or same like other provinces like ON, BC, etc ?
More Questions Please
1. Can you put some light ON about Edmonton City & jobs opportunities there?
2. How much odd jobs pays per hour?
3. As you said Student can work off-campus legally after completing one year. BUT some of students are still working before on year & more than 20 Hours per week?
Thanks once again
Hi Afan,
Well GRE is an integral part of the admission process for sciences faculty. Anyway, the off-campus work program for international students was approved quite recently, about 10 days back I guess; in every province there are only few participating insititutes where an international student can work. In Alberta only the following institutes are participating:
* Southern Alberta Institute of Technology
* University of Lethbridge
Alberta is booming, but it is mainly because of the oil industry. No doubt there is always a spillover effect on other jobs! It's fair to say though that as of today Alberta has more job opportunities as compared to other provinces.
I don't know much about Edmonton, so I suggest you try searching more information from the internet. Regarding part time work, well it will pay anywhere between 8-15 dollars per hour. Now the student that you are referring to, work off campus because either they are Canadians or because they do it illegally.
