Folks,

I am one more person to leave India for the same reason. As a minority (FCs are less than 20% of population) I don't see any future for my children in India and I don't want them to die like the 200+ young people who died during Mandal comission protests.

When I had write my caste name for admissions into higher educational insitutions, I always felt the pain of being discriminated.

I always wanted to go back to India but if private sector has reservations, I doubt if I would ever return to India. I would be happier to deal with racism here than Indian government sponsered discrimination.


I don't deny the fact that some amount of govt. help is needed for backward communities but reservations in private sector take this too far. Free enterprises in market economies cannot compete by hiring substandard people.

I wouldn't be surprised if the IT companies move their operations to Srilanka or Nepal and hire all the meritorious people (from India) there.

Actually, if i was the CEO of a big IT company, I would probably move some of my operations to Nepal / Mauritius / Srilanka and get the people I want on work permits.

What could be next in the reservation?

You have to give your 50 percent business to LC people. It means your half of the doctors visit should be to the LC doctors. If have cataract operation, one eye must be done by LC doctors.

Half of your house plan must be done by LC Engineer. You must buy half of your grocery from the LC merchant.

Why the government doesn't understand the importance of skill? The people abroad are just amazed the way we progressed and the reason is none other than our skills. If we play with skills where are we going to be?

Recently one of the white economists was talking about India's cast system and how it helped India in gaining its IT Super Power position. The entire world was just thinking that a India is a poor nation, but its vibrant upper class, highly focused on professionalizm and higher goals alone changed that image.

Ofcouse to be in Canada is looking good now.

ALAS ! ONE GOOD REASON TO IMMIGRATE TO CANADA FROM INDIA.

IF YOU HAVE BEEN FOLLOWING THE NEWS FROM INDIA, YOU WOULD HAVE NOTED THAT THE GOVERNMENT OF INDIA WOULD LIKE TO ESTABLISH RESERVATIONS IN THE IIT'S, IIM'S AND CENTERS OF ADVANCED LEARNING. THEY WOULD ALSO LIKE TO EXTEND IT TO JOBS IN PRIVATE SECTOR. BUT THESE RESERVATIONS WILL NOT BE IN EFFECT IN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS/COMPANIES RUN BY MINORITIES.

THIS IDEA HAS BEEN OPPOSED BY RATAN TATA AND ALSO RAHUL BAJAJ; WHILE NARAYANA MURTHY OF INFOSYS HAS WELCOMED THIS IDEA. THANKS TO MEERA RAM DAUGHTER OF THE LATE JAGJIVAN RAM THESE IDEAS WOULD GO THROUGH AND WOULD BEEN SEEN IN ACTION IN THE NEXT YEARS

When a billion people are sieved what we get will definitely be near to the best in the world. They are originally intelegent even before joining them. IITs are indirectly sources of income for many. I would like to give one example. There is college in Hyderabad run by one Mr. Ramayya to coach students for IIT entrance exam. At one time there used to be 80/90 students from this one college selected for IIT in a year. Later on many private tuitions/ coaching schools mushroomed to give training to get admission to Ramayya’s college. Now children are abused in the sense that they are being given training for IIT admission since grade 7 in Andhra. Diamonds are expensive not because they are scarce but they are made scarce by debeers, as mentioned in my sons test book. We need more IITs and IIMs ,not to allow the politicians for vote playing. Tatas and others are capable of building such schools. I believe most of the products of these schools are not useful to the country . They do go out to serve the west in majority.

HENCE THE FUTURE OF THE SO CALLED FC’S (FORWARD CASTES) IS UNDER QUESTION IN INDIA.
These are the guys who leave the country first if any thing happens to India ( I am also a FC and shamed to call myself to have a caste)

IF THIS IS THE WAY THE GOVERNMENTS ARE GOING TO CATER TO VOTE BANKS, THE SO CALLED FC'S WILL HAVE NO SAY IN EDUCATION/JOBS AND OTHER OPPORTUNITIES. I CAN SEE A SO CALLED SOCIAL PURGING HAPPENING IN INDIA. THIS HAS ALREADY HAPPENED IN TAMIL NADU, WHERE MANY FC'S MIGRATED OUT THE VILLAGES TO TOWNS IN 1930'S TO 50'S LATER ON TO CITIES AND TO NORTH INDIA IN 1970-80'S. THEY HAVE NOW MIGRATED TO COUNTRIES LIKE US OF A AND CANADA.

I was raised in my village for about 20 years of my age. Yes ,beautiful villages have been deserted for economic reasons. People from all communities migrated out, many to urban India, some to the western hemisphere. Many of my teachers used to be Brahmins. Taught my mother tongue. Beautiful telugu poems, proverbs, uniqueness of this language. They tried their best to teach English and Hindi as well. Same could be with many in this forum. The village (the real Indian) culture is fast vanishing.

Local banias migrated in search of big business, Brahmins as greedy as others and due to their early education got good opportunities out side, landlords for luxury life, leaving the artisans in the village for some time. Modern equipment and technology have made the carpenters, goldsmiths, blacksmiths, wavers, potters and others jobless, made them to follow the migration to urban areas in search of jobs. If you see the animal seasonal migrations, herbivorous animals will be followed by the carnivorous.

The villages, once self sustained economies, were weaken to irreparable levels. People who could not change their lines (professions) and remained in the villages were left with all problems. Having no special qualifications/skills people from all the so called FCs, lost their identity/ respect. When the law ( of equality) is maintained , these so called FCs are now being teased and abused for their ritualistic professions or their past deeds . Brahmins lost the glory long ago due to their poor knowledge in the Vedas/Upanishads / Gita/other scriptures or their ability to create interest in them. This probably led to the rise of DMKs, main abusers of Hindu religion in south. Brahmins drove away women and Sudras not to touch The Gita. As per Malayala Swami who made The Gita available first time in Telugu and made popular for AAM LOG had mentioned that this is reason why the people of Bharat had to undergo slavery to the outsiders. Majority of the preachers in temples do not know the meaning of the stanzas they chant at the rituals. If know, not the true meaning. That led even to their portrait of buffoonery in the films.
Brahmins are boozing, eating meat without fear. I am not against that. I am against them calling themselves Brahmins.


A wrong by a saint, can cause worst damage to the society than any body. Many religious leaders in recent years have involved / alleged their involvement in murderous or Sexual scandals. Examples can be directed to some leaders or heads of religious institutes in Tamilnadu and Gujarat. There could be many unexposed in other parts.
THE CURRENT ELECTIONS IN TAMIL NADU IS VERY INTERESTING. THE COUNTRY UPON INDEPENDANCE DIVIDED BASED ON RELIGION, AND LATER ON IDEOLOGY OF SOCIALIST, COMMUNIST AND SO ON SO FORTH. IN TAMIL NADU THERE IS A CLEAR CUT DEMARKATION BASED ON CASTE. EVERY PARTY HAS THE INTEREST OF A PARTICULAR CASTE. A PROMINENT MOVIE ACTOR/POLITICAL LEADER HAVE SWITCHED PARTIES RECENTLY AS HE FOUND HIS CASTE HAS BEEN MARGINALIZED. IT IS VERY INTERESTING TO SEE HOW CLEAR AND PRECISELY THE COMMON MAN KNOWS THE EXACT PERCENTAGE OF EACH CASTE IN HIS STATE, DISTRICT AND IN HIS VILLAGE.

THE POLITICAL ACTIVENESS HAS INCREASED DRAMATICALLY AND EACH CASTE HAS FOUND THAT THEY WOULD BE AFFECTED IF THEY DO NOT UNITE AND SHOW AS ONE HUGE FORCE.

In Delhi when two people (incl IAS officers) meet, they verify their state (to know their language) surnames (To identify the caste), then their district (to know the dialect) etc, as told in an interview by an ex Cabinet secretary of A.P.

The hearts that breed for universal love, compassion, tolerance and friendship with moral and ethical values are wealth of a nation (as told by a spiritual leader). If these values are maintained internally no brain drain will affect any nation (India) however poor it is. The science and technology brains who have no love for universe and interested in materialistic personal progress will never contribute any host country (I mean to Canada) in the long run.
