Hinduism is a way of life and it is beyond Siva, Vishnu and Ganesh!.
The real relationship in Hinduism is between the Jeevatma - ourselves and the Paramatma- The Universe, a.k.a God, a.k.a Jesus, a.k.a Allah, a.k.a Siva, Vishnu, Brahma or Ganesha.
The real dialogue is between us and our God. The true Hindu is an atheist, who is always thinking about him so that he can disprove his/her existence.
We could highlight how unique the Hindus are from two recent events which happened in India recently:
1. Varanasi Bombings- The culprits were caught and they had planned to bomb both the Hanuman temples. They failed in their efforts. Their plans were to get a retaliatory action from the hindus in India and so that they can build on further blood shed. What happened ?, nothing happened and the terrorist have no place to put their face ?. The reason is evil builds on evil. If we do not respond evil with evil, their efforts fall flat at their face.
2.M.F.Hussains Nude Depiction of Indian Hindu Goddess: He has been painting the Indian Hindu Goddess in nude and different forms for decades, sold them for Crores of Rupees, and many of us visited the show and said Wah!, Wah !, what a painting. Did India do another Denmark?. No.
Hinduism is beyond this. We should not get stuck up with aartis and poojas, which are good but not the ultimate. Hinduism and its philosophies are beyond this. The success and acceptance of the Cartoons will depend on the audience reaction. If the Indian audience do not accept, The Simpsons will change the format like what the McDonalds or Burger King did by bringing Vegetarian Tikka Burgers or similar products. The market forces will decide. Once again we Indians are one of most open minded people in accepting foreign concepts, products and ideas with open arms.
For me the best response for India came from Jake 3D who has admitted about his thought process or JRF who has written about the temple architecture in India. It is for them to highlight our cultural heritage and not for me talk about it. Ultimately we are all Indians.
I can assure you, once they subtitle \"The Simpsons\" in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil and other regional languages it will be a RAGE!.

Speech by Thomas Friedman of The New York Times....
"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"

Dude. Atleast read the mail or try to know what Simpsons is, before posting the reply. I am discussing about Simpsons, not Hinduism. If i wanted to discuss about Hinduism, I would post message under different category
When I say Simpsons go to India, that means the character goes to India. The show is already shown on Star World since a long time.
Second, to enjoy Simpsons, you need to be live in North America. That is why, it might not be that popular in India. It is difficult to understand the humour until you completely know the background of it. It would be one in a zillion chance before Matt Groening will try to adapt Simpsons to Indian taste.
When you translate any piece of literature, you kill the soul. It happened with all the Hollywood movies translated to Hindi. Trying to translate Simpsons into Hindi would kill its soul. It is like eating a cookie dipped in sambhar or an idli dipped in tomato soup
