Hi all

After i came to know about this site and desis i am regularly visiting the site and after reading all questions / answers got totally confused about my future, what will happen about myself when i land there, hope all will be well.

In the process of my immigration my consultant has told be that if i pay extra money will give me a confirm job as soon as my land there with a reasonable salary, although not in my current field but it will also not be a labours job. It will be a executive job.

I request all desis whether such a thing is possible. Can a immigration consultant provide a confirmed job as soon as one arrived. How far they can be relied upon, any registration needs to be checked before paying them extra money for the job.

Ur help is needed in guiding me about the same.

Thanxs in advance.

Sp

Please do not fall for the assured job scam. Do not go for this offer even it is from any Worldly organization.

It is cheap/slave labor with out an exit for the first few months. You will be exploited. Even after you complete the period, the references will not be forth coming from them and if comes through they will try to screw you up. It is better to work in a factory/ware house where the philipino, gora or the black would be able to put in a good word for you.

Please define the concept of the word \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Executive\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" as you understand it. Here in Canada the words like labor, lay off, firing, EI only works. Many times the concept of HR here is equivalent to IR: Industrial Relations in India.

The real trick is to plan your landing in months were there will plenty of seasonal jobs. You should plan it sometime in March or August when the climate is good and there is plenty of seasonal labour. During Spring/Summer you could work in a farm picking fruits which might pay you $14 per hour than working in an office at $9 as an \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Executive\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" with out the choice of lay off = EI. This would explain the word called\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\"Dignity of Labor\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\" coined beautifully by the Canadians and exploited by the Indian Immigration agents comes to play.

The key words which are applicable for Canadian Labor market are as follows:

General Labor,
Dignity of Labour,
Part-time work,
Full - time work,
temp to perm,
Continental shift,
Rotating Shift,
EI,
CCP,
37.5 Hrs or 40 Hr work week,
over time pay over those hours 1.5 times base salary,
Holiday work pay 2 times the base salary,
30 minute lunch, 2 - 15 minutes breaks,
Income Tax Bracket,
Net Income take home after income tax, CCP, EI;
Mortgage,
Hydro & utilities,
Property Tax,
Maintenance amount,
alimony,
Social Welfare,
Baby Sitter,
Down Payment,
Credit History,
Self-Employed,
Inside Sales,
Call Centers,
Customer Service,
Commission only,
Fork lift operator,
Ware House Personnel,
Shipper-Receiver, Can lift XX Lbs,
Steel Toed Shoes,
Book Keeper,
Weed,
Crystal Meth,
Beer,
Tim-Hortons,
Price of 3.25% Homo Milk,
Price of India Gate or Tilda Basmati rice,
Ice-Hockey,
Stress,
Tension and you would be able to add more words to your vocabulary when you arrive here. This vocabulary list will not be found in your Norman Lewis or Wilbur & Funk used for your GRE or GMAT.

Good Luck & God Bless !

"When we were young kids growing up in America, we were told to eat our
vegetables at dinner and not leave them. Mothers said, 'think of the
starving children in India and finish the dinner.' And now I tell my
children: 'Finish your maths homework. Think of the children in India
who would make you starve, if you don't.'"
