received the fax from CHC Hong Kong for Issuance of Visa Letter. For that I need to fly to Hong Kong and collect visa for me and all the dependant's passport.

I am wondering, do I need original letter for visa stamping or fax letter is sufficient for that. Fax does not mention any thing like bring original letter or fax letter.
It's saying "Clients will be required to present the letter, passport, and the passports of all accompanying family members at that time".

I had an agent but never had any 'original letter' prior to heading for HK to pick up visas. I had been sent a scanned version of request letter which I took a print of and brought mine and dependents' visas based on the same.

I think what is most important is passports and file number printed on the letter requesting you to pick-up visas.

I do not think faxed version of request letter will have any issue! Please check names and other details for any spelling or details mismatch while picking up the visas.

I stayed at Kawloon's low budget motel (negotiate hard) for two nights. Just take Octopas (pass that comes for around 150HK dollars and virtually works on each of traveling modes). They will refund the money not used while departing just at the airport service counter. You do not have to carry any change to buy fare each time you ride train, bus, tram or ferry. You can come to harbour and take a ferry for Hong Kong island where Canadian Consulate is the Stock Exchange Tower.

Kawloon is quite far off from airport, but it does not matter if you save money! I did not know anything about HK before I went there but had no issues at all. I liked that place. Be careful of your personal belongings, although I never had any problem.

Do not worry about the letter at all, this is just a standard letter , once you reach canadian consulate in HK they 'll take no more than 30 minutes to stamp the Visa.

1. What is HK visa procedure just after landing? What documents do they ask for and how much is the fee for HK visa stamping in HK or US$?
I have Indian passport.
2. Did You guys take luggage along with you to Canadian Consulate or left in motel/hotel?
3. How much HK $ are sufficient for 2 days?
