The monthly rent I pay towards parking is 70 cad, how do I advertise that I have a parking space? can I rent it out to someone else who lives outside the apartment?

I am not a software engineer, I am an electrical engineer.

Your apartment will be having a notice board. So advertize it there. When the rate is $70 and your advertize for anything less than $ 70, Gora's will run like crazy to you.

You should not rent out to anyone other than who is in your apartment (with a lease) for security reasons.

Anyone getting a good salary/ less physical work (relatively)/ company benefits is termed as a software engineer here.

I prefer to pay the 2+2 dollars

Thanks for the input

Advertise in your bldg Notice board. Also put flyer's through the doors of all your bldg residents if its allowed.

Try to live in a nice place.

If its $ 100 - $ 150 more here & there in rent so be it , at the end of the day as an electrical engineer it doesn't really matter. If you are doing a survival job & have hand to mouth existence it matters, otherwise NO.

Even if its $ 150 more its only $ 5 more per day..try to save those $5 somewhere else by not eating out etc.

$ 5 per day divided among a family of 3 is even less.

Don't compromise your & family's safety & quality of life : with bad tenants , bed bugs , noise , bad smell , bad hygiene, bad location , bad & long commute , bad schools in your area, while trying to save a few bucks here & there.

Your life is & friends & socila life are outside the house ..NOT necessarily inside your apartment.

Now here are a few good suggestions to work with. As soon as his wife lands here, his tax bracket drops down as he has ONE dependent to share the tax load. If the child also lands there, then he will get additional tax benefit out of the kid also. So, he will do better in his take home pay, just because of their presence here in Quebec.

My wife already has an open work permit. We are expecting our first child in August. I hope it will be easy to get the visa for my new born child.
with tax bracket falling, how many more dollars can I get every month ?
Are these tax benefits only for PR holders?

The child will also get CCTB if and when he applies for the same and gets it processed. That is an additional bonus.

Is it applicable for temp workers?

This link will give you an idea about the tax deductions and the TAX brackets you are in this year. (Also last year 2014, Taxation year that is.)

Being here within Canada on a work permit, You have a TRV. That should permit you to apply for the CCTB. link Below.

Please also consult an accountant and get help. Also contact CRA, Quebec Branch.
