.....Our income in around 10000 Dhs/Month.(inclusive of rent)
Since last two years inflation in UAE is rising at alarming speed..
When we came to UAE in 2000 we used to save aroung 70% of our salary.
Now with the sharp hike in rent, petrol other commodities we are able to save hardly 1000/1500 per month....................
cynic,
great analysis, you also seems to have gulf experience.

Studio flat -dhs.2000/-
I know of people staying in Dubai who have apartments which have a rent of about 75000 dirhams or more per year which works out to around 6500 dirhams a month. Average rent for a family apartment would be around 45000-50000 dirhams per year.
It also depends on the individual's lifestyle as to what he could save per month.

Let's make India a better place !
did you start leading a posh life in sharjah recently? Or just kidding the poor folks in this forum?
The math of an average desi is like this
Studio flat -dhs.2000/-
Grocery – dhs 700
Phone – dhs. 150
Car - dhs. 300
TV Cable - dhs. 50
Internet - dhs. 50
Mediacl - dhs. 200
Entertaiment / kalaikkal - dhs. 300
Total - dhs. 4650/-
-------------------------------------------
What about Water + Electricity? that also takes upto Dhs 350.
The Rent of our flat is doubled. We are paying Dhs 38000/- for 2 Br flat.
And even after searching we are not able to get any apt in decent areas..
I have a kid who is attending Pre-School from last month..Dhs 650 for that..
I will not give a full split up of my expenses.
We are not exactly living posh lifestyle..but a comfortable one without major shopping and little saving as compared to 3-4 years back..
The savings of middle class people are dwindling b'coz of sudden inflation that's what I wanted to say.. No ffence to anyone..
While you discuss lifestyles in Dubai and Dirhams,

My first question is..
If you realise that you are stuck into odd jobs..what is the way to come out of it? Or there is no way...

I heard the govt. helps by giving loan to requalify..
How does that help?

Instead of sticking in odd jobs for years why don't people get hold of this opportunity and requalify themselves..
