hello everybody,
after going through the various posts in this site it is quite apparent that individually Indian qualification (i am an MBA finance and B.Sc Economics hons from a reputed university in India-both the courses has been verified by World Education Services in Toronto) does not hold much value in the Canadian labour market. however suppose if i am able to complete a Canadian qualification(i am trying to do the Canadian Securities Course from India)then does my Indian qualification holds any value in the Canadian labour market ?
what i am trying to ask is that if someone holds a Canadian qualification, then under that circumstance do the Indian qualification holds any value? (although individually the Indian qualification may not hold much value)
thanking everybody in advance for giving their time

your indian credentials are not useless. if your resume shows your experience which may be relevant to the concerned job and matching qualifications though may not be canadian you can get the job.
i know many friends who are not having any canadian qualifications but they got good jobs. actually all depends on your approach to get a job. and also on LUCK.
though it would be better if you update your indian qualifications by enrolling in relevant canadian courses.

Our friend did MS in Mathematics in the USA after his Engineering degree in India.
He is in Payroll Administration in Canada and has been asked to do a Canadian Certification in the related field. He did it.The temporary job was made permanent and he has bought a Condo in a year of his moving. By the way he is aged aroud 40,and has a family.
At the same time, I know another friend, who did her CA in India, and has got a job here with her Indian Qualifications.
Sometimes, you have to be in the right place at the right time, I think.
PS: Is there a God or Goddess for Luck,"Adirshta Devatha"?

You are on right track with CSC. Prepare for it and appear for exam as soon as you land.
Also if you are looking for job in finance & investment and you still have a year or two before landing, take a job in India with one of the US/Canada financial/insurance JVs who have US/Canada parent company name prominently in their name. These names will help you get in the door here.
This I advise everyone in India who is hell-bent on coming to Canada. Do advance preparation. Take jobs with companies whose name will carry some weight in Canada, i.e. Morgan Stanley, Amex, KPMG, Sun, Microsoft, McKinsey etc. Nobody gives a hoot here if you worked for Reliance, Birla, Tata, Satyam etc..
