Thou shalt not forget that it is God's command to come and settle in this country and thou shalt leave all the worries and burdens to Him.

1) Thou shalt think through the immigration decision from as many angles as possible and ONLY immigrate if the potential pros outweigh the cons. Once thou immigrates though, thou shalt not allow ANYONE feed you negativity and discouragement.

2) Thou shalt not arrive in fear and anxiety. The apprehensions of moving to a new place are inevitable but thou shalt realize that fear feeds on itself and diminishes your efforts. Thou shalt find creative ways of injecting yourself with enthusiasm on a regular basis, even if it means spending a bit of money.

3) Thou will come across dozens of people who will unleash volumes of advice on you faster than you can spell advice. Thou shalt however make an effort to identify the very few genuine people out of those who mean well and give constructive advice and stay away from those who spew nonsense just because they're in a position to. Thou shalt learn to ignore them and if that's not possible, disassociate with them immediately.

*Editeth after reading DTC's post below *

4) Thou shalt remembereth that thoust decision to immigrate is about THOU and THOUST family. What others have gone through or going through is irrelevant in that context. Thou are thoust own man/woman, and THOU will beat the odds.
