I am a Gents and not a Ladies.
Actually, I did.
I said Rogers because I thought they'd been bought over.
My phone says Rogers when turned on.
Thanks for the tip though...

Alexm,
You should have gone with Fido. They offer the most competitive prices (In Ontario and may be true in Montreal too)

Make sure your Phone supports at least 1900 and 850 frequency. Most phones support 1900 but not 850. 850 is coming big in North America GSM and is good to have on your phone.
if you have a quad band phone your phone will possible have 850.
If you have a tri band phone chances are it could not have 850 specially if its bought outside Canada.
I bought Mobile phone from Dubai and I am using here. Can I use my mobile phone here.. Please guide
If I buy any mobile phone from USA/Canada Can I use the same mobile phone
in Dubai. Any problem.
Regards

You just said you are using it here. Let me clarify,. Phones sold in Middle east come with 1800/900 frequency as a minimum. if they are tri band they will have 1900 also.
I suggest you check http://www.phonescoop.com for specs on your phone
Most phones bought from Middlea east / far east can be used in UsA / Canada.
Check out http://www.answers.com/topic/gsm-frequency-ranges
But ignore the GSM - 422 link or reading.
you should buy a quad band phone it has all the 4 bands used in the world on gsm phones tri band will always have one band missing either 850 which is good in north america or 900 which is good in india with airtel and spice.
