Thanks to everyone for the feedback.

Closed Captioning seems to be everyone's favorite and it is the easiest to use :hat:

Socractic,

Are you Das-Fx by any chance?

Only Das-Fx had the passion with which you are into skilled immigrants cause.:D

And he was sure that his forumula worked.

Do you also come into contact with hordes of skilled immigrants?
Do you also interview them only to find what terrible communication they possess?

Who ridiculed you on a daily basis in US? maybe high school students , right.
You never worked there and for that matter you havent worked here.

I have seen so many people in USA when I worked there with absolutely pathetic english, that I could only say "WTF?". But their technical skills were at par with the best.

One of my friends has just moved to USA after being accepted for a PhD and granted scholarship and all. His english is patchy at best (apologies to my friend if you are reading this). His technical skills good enough to get him there for research, but not good enough in Canada. and this is a guy hwo tried for 2 years, worked like dog to make ends meet and shared a 1 room appartment with another family to save. totally Unlike me who sits here whining all day.

"You may have all the technical skills that you need but if you don’t know how to express yourself all your knowledge becomes useless."

or this could be true...

"You may have all the english skills that you need but if you don’t have technical skills, all your english / skills becomes useless.".
We have discussed this. Yes in some jobs English and communication plays a great part. At the same time in technical areas , the technical skills are paramount, then come others.

If one is to learn english for the sake , then its ok.

You english is pretty good. I find it difficult to believe that in 4- 6 months you aquired this perfect grammar. The rules of grammar takes a whole lot more time than that. Either you knew english and you are here to prove some point because you got the hots for Canada and everybody else hates it or you are a genius or you are bluffing.

Chandresh is right in saying this looks like a cut n paste out of some magazine.

I can assure you that this is not a cut n paste out of any magazine. It is simply absurd for you to think that. And no I am not Das-Fx.

Why do you find it so hard to believe that I improved my grammar and English skills within 4-6 months? Sure I knew how to speak English in India but it was not perfect English. My accent was horrible and my sentence structure was no way near perfection.

If many of you still think I am lying then I do not know what to do. Maybe I am a genius in the sense that I don't undermine other people's abilities. I give credit to people for what they can do.

I am just trying to help people out. Isn't that why this forum was created ?
I will say it now that I Love Canada! Either you can live with it or get continued to be troubled with my love for Canada.

If you are still in disbelief then maybe I should pat myself on the back for being so damn good.

Also, if you can find whatever I wrote in this supposedly imaginary "magazine" that exists then please do enlighten us all .

So, you know who Das-Fx is....???
Else you would have asked "Who is this Das-Fx guy"?
ok ok , just kidding.

I didnt say you are lying, but exaggerating, yes.
You are (correct me if I am wrong) NOT a skilled immigrant.
I dont know how you can speak with such authority as to what will WORK for them.

I dont know what that means. A genius that doesnt undermine other people's abilities? Truly unique genius.

Expect the same in return for your intolerance!

Ahhh, you are so sure of yourself. You can only end in doubt.

Look, Its good to be helpful and all. Be objective in what you present. Whether your ideas are out of a magazine or your own, you could have just listed them instead of making blanket statements.

You really dont know what issues skilled immigrants face. Yes, i am saying you have to be one (on at least one side of the debate) to understand that. It would be like me commenting on college life in Canada without being one or getting 2nd hand information. In which case you would take exception with me.

Thats all.

Looking forward you your "Continued Trouble".:D

Yes I am very sure of myself.
I don't see the need to prove myself to you :L . I also don't have to tell you why I can say whatever it is I said.

And you think are objective in your arguments? You just made/assumed similar blatant statements about me :). I am getting a whiff of subjectivism from your end as well.

Arrogant too....nice going. For a person who is supposed to be helpful....Yes absolultely, say whatever you want, positive, negative, good bad, whatever. I for one am fine with that.

A little probing got this one out.:D
