I would appreciate if anyone can advise what type of part time jobs are available for ladies, as I know quite a high number of educated new immigrint males take labour/pizza delivery etc. jobs, but what about the ladies? Is it difficult to enter the field with prior experience only in Admin. Do we have to take any courses?

campaining for credit cards in different malls is done by new immigrant desi ladies, grocery store clerk, etc etc.....

Looks like its back to square one for me (in literal sense) that is how i started working 13 years back in the gulf by conducting market surveys in the malls and then slowly moved up the ladder.

After moving to canada i can only work during schools hour as i don't want to leave my kids alone.


By the way how much does one make on these odd jobs??

7-10 dollars an hour i guess, but your best bet would be to ask someone who is doing this already....they can be seen in eaton center, sometimes promoting canadian tire master card within canadian tire stores...

There is one Indian Boss for these jobs... I would not name.
Pay is about 7-8 Dollars.
They try to reduce total payment by some excuse or other...keep an eye on your hours worked..

All this was told to me by two friends who worked these jobs.

By the way... you can also try tele-marketing, Security( not during day.. so...that is out).
