I have started a social club for women of South Asian origin - from India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal and the West Indies.

I came to Canada when I was 14. I have a great group of friends from different cultures. The older I get and the more I appreciate my culture. I wanted to join a social club for South Asian women where we could chat about issues, watch movies, go to restaurants and events but was unable to find anything. So I started this club.

It is open to women, in their twenties and up, that are of South Asian origin. This club is for the Greater Toronto Area only. You can contact me and I will set up a list. There is no cost to join this club. IT IS NOT A SINGLES CLUB OR A NETWORKING CLUB. It is about bringing women together a few times a month for fun activities and forming friendships. There is no membership fee.

Please contact me with comments and suggestions. These are some of the activities that I have come up with:

Monthly dinner outings, Bollywood movie outings, attending South Asian events. MyBindi.com and Mahiram.com post a lot of great events and we can attend those as well.
