hi all
I have got few emails for members who wish to participate and hence the no looks somewhere around 20 and hence i feel a outdoor match is a better option as i can always get 2/4 friends of mine to make it exact 22.
I guess we will have enough volunteers to umpire.
Now the challenge is equipments wherein we need 4 wickets and a few bats.Volunteers needed for that as in the indoor match this would have been provided.
I would prefer a tennis ball as that means lesser equipments and minimum chances of injury as most of us are out of touch.
comments; suggestions; advice; criticism needed.

Hi,
Seems to be perfect. What about the venue as it would be an outdoor one now, right?

VJ.
I can provide 2-3 bats, one pair pads, one pair batting gloves, one abdomen guard and if need be, new and old cricket balls. And yes, even tennis balls I suppose - but if is gonna be outside, do you think we can play with tennis balls?

Advice is free – lessons I charge for!!
There are few parks around and grass is generally trimmed in most of them.Suggestions (keeping in mind the cost) are welcomed on that.
For the choice of balls i think it should be a general opinion whereas i am comfortable with any ones.
As a part of the organising team i would prefer a tennis ball as it would limit the need for equipments and moreover most of the people are out of touch and hence injuries can happen;at the end of the day it will be a general vote.
For parks i have a few in mind including the Malton cricket club and Yourstruly has volunteeered to find the details for us.Then there is one school right opposite Malton community centre which has a huge park and he will also find details for us.
keep discussing to come to a fruitful conclusion.

Yes I agree with this. I too am open with any type of cricket ball. But keeping everybody's fear all at PAR in facing the ball, TENNIS BALL option is the best.
I am new here, hence contributing on ground search would be difficult for me. However I am ready to contribute for any other work.
Regards,
VJ.
