What is so special about you that hundreds of other people like me who are unemployed in Canada do not have so that people can help you but not others who have been here for sometime?

For networking, try http://www.HAPPEN.ca" rel="nofollow">LINK

It has worked for many, and may work for you as it si for professionals. They meet once a week in Mississauga and Burlington. There is an annual fee to become a member of this networking group and they have access to lots of jobs (from the network of people who were once unemployed and have now got decent jobs and are in a position to help).

There is also another networking group called EARN (i Don't remember its full form) in Toronto.

Good luck.

Now try something else.

1. Focus

2. Plan

3. Sell yourself! before you can successfully sell your skills

You wrote in your profile "A successful CA with a family of wife and 2 children" now follow what you wrote instead of getting defeatest! mindset.

1. Figure our what you want to do. Something you know instead of something you know nothing about.

2. Read "Marketing your Services" by Crandall with a pen and paper handy and write the plan and action items for 1 as you read.

3. Follow the action items "rain or shine" developed in 2.

1. Save your resume on workopolis and/or monster and keep it current.
2. Get a list of Canadian companies from a book in the library and apply even if they do not advertise for jobs.
3. Networking can help.

I have done all that - no luck till date!:(

4. Be patient!

I did that too - and it worked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It has finally made me a patient (heart patient:cry: )

Not sure why you need to take out your frustrations on him!? He made a simple request..just take it as that.. nothing more or nothing less. Not sure why he needs to justify it..

I have a suggestion, Try the jobs on Indian monster site. Mention that you are in canada. There are many folks from indian companies that are on projects in canada and the US. The hiring company does not care if you are based in india or canada. They want their work done.

And especially profitable for them since they do not need to pay money to bring you into canada. I believe the pay is also very comparable.

My 2c (This may seem very round about way to get a job, but does not cost anything and does not hurt at all ) Hope this helps....and Best of Luck....
