The 2004 tax statement should say exactly how much you paid as Health Premium.

Check you statements.
There shuld be a separate statement specifying this.

Are you referring to the Notice of Assessment or some other Tax Statement.

Oh... could be the property Tax Statement. Remember seeing something for education.....

Well Ontario Health Tax doesn't come from Proeprty Tax.. its deducted from the pay check as a Federal Tax.. and if you filed your return.. you would get back the statement in the mail from CRA.. this will tell how much went to OHIP.

Its like we r being forced to buy medical insurance from the Province

You can find the OHIP amount as step 7 on your form ON428 (which you can calculate on your own even if you have not filed your return). The amount typically ranges from $600 to $1,000 per year, however, in 2004 it will be only 50% of the annual amount since the deduction commenced as of July 1.

The deduction itself is made from your regular salary as part of the 'federal tax' deduction.

Friend,

You are right. Keep backup plans and start implemeting your ideas without any much delay.

As many people says, it is difficult to get a decent paid job in Canada ( I heard) but not that difficult. As long as you are prepared to takeup a beginning job while starting your Career in Canada, you will achieve good results very quickly.

I wish you good luck.

You are absouletely right. When you work in night shift as a agency labour with no guaranty that you will get ajob next week or next day, you don't think of planning, high morale, facing the interview but you think only of survival. You go on working fast on machine so that your supervisior is not going to throw you out from the job. That is the reality of this great(????) country. As one of our fellow CD has rightly said " Planning Wlanning ho gai boring, whisky kholo , Daru Poring"
