Securing a Future...Mooting the idea of a National Emplyment Registry/Exchange right from the Airport or day1 of landing in Canada.
Dear Sir,
With reference to the ongoing debate about wasting foreign trained
talent and misplacement of skilled workers including the mentorship efforts
carried out in the province of Ontario, the most important aspect of settling
in any country be it temporarily or permanently is being able to find a good job orbusiness.
Many a times, people waste their crucial time and resources searching and writing to WANTED and AVAILABLE positions with no success or results. Then there is a huge market of resume writers/builders,agents and private placement companies a just waiting for this sake.
I think the problem of employment for landed immigrants can be solved if at
the time of landing at any Canadian airport, the candidate is asked to give
three choices of his desired work, first and foremost being his intended
occupation and designated occupation as stated in the Immigration file,so
also in case of business mmigrants.
This informaion can be automatically transferred to the repective job
bank and all its contacts(government, public, private, etc, like a NATIONAL
EMPLOYMENT EXCHANGE) and within One Month, the candidate can expect to get a
interview call or job offer letter from interested Canadian authoriites or
stating that they require more Canadian education. This arrangement will also
help to weed out illegal immigrants or those with false declarations in the
form and also the Canadian authorities can de-concentrate LABOUR from areas
concentrated to areas where there is urgent requirement right from the AIRPORT!Please note such a procedure has been carried out in case ofobtaining the P-R card and temporary health insurance after a candidate lands in Canada,so why not try
this method?
This 'slight'systematic drain will also give the Canadian Governmenta
statistical data of the flow of immigrants into the country withrespect to
their occupation and education and most important advice/suggest or even
insist upon the candidate to move to other province or area for
concentrating work where it is most required!
Why not try it in one province on an experimental basis given the idea of
the vast resources and link available on the net?
And the only reason of not implementing such a transparent solution would be
'enjoying playing in a jumble' instead of solving this issue!Apart from the corruption(if present?)or being picky or worried about employment rights, such a transparent solution can infact ease the problem of landed immigrants!

The poster starts with "Dear sir." Have you sent this letter to somebody?, do you use this e-mail ID for official e-mail?

When you apply for immigration all your data is collected by Canadian High Commission/CIC who ultimately give you your landing papers. So they already know how many people of which profession have landed already or about to land in the coming years.

Even if you collect data at the airport, how do you counter "Canadian experience?"

Won't it be better if you are told that you will have to study in Canada as your educational qualifications may not be recognized or you will have to get a new license in Canada for your occupation at the time of immigration application itself? Why make them land and then tell them the same?

Hi friends,
Yes this letter has been also sent to a newspaper in Canada for publishing. The emails use is official also.
I do not agree that all immigrants to Canada necessarily need canadian experience, otherwise if you would have cared to glance at this site, there are umpteen examples of people getting a job even within 5 days of landing, ofcourse with Indian qualifications.
http://www.canadiandesi.ca/read.php?TID=7499
Maybe or not evaluated by credentials evaluations service in Canada.
Ofcourse there are also applicants to non-regulated occupations in Canada who do not need licensing and also those who have completed the requisite study hours/work experience to get a canadian job.
Instead of hunting and needless searches,it makes sense to screen the applicants after they land,as during this period they are sure of securing a place in Canada rather than when applying from the home country.many may even backoff landing due to various reasons,eg.http://www.canadiandesi.ca/read.php?TID=7712
hence the procedure at the time of landing.
I would like to know about this notion and why can't it be tried on an experimental basis in anyone of the provinces?
