That's what makes me feel proud to be an Indian. We are a Nation with Hindu majority, a Muslim President and a Sikh Prime Minister. No other country in the world can claim that.
That said, I still don't agree with a lot of polices of the Govt. that sidelines the majority Hindu population, but again, that discussion is for another Thread

In India religion is a private affair.

Really? Then why were Sikhs rejoicing on the streets of Delhi when Manmohan singh became PM?

I am not dragging religion into Politics. All I am doing is Highlighting the fact that our country is the only one that doesn't discriminate on the basis of religion for choosing people for Political office.

We all know that. We all believe in it. It is that way because we all believe in it and the majority Likes to keep it that way.
--- Good to see we agree on something

You are not the only one.
Although I dont like to say Proud. I an happy that I am an Indian.
Honestly, I dont see the link between nationalism and pride.
True pride is usually derived from some achievement, not from some historical accident.
That would mean there is a question for all of us "what have you done for your country"?
Nationalism is not pride, it is a trick. It is what drives the naive and foolish to die in a corner of some foreign field, what allows people to treat others as less than human because of their different place of birth, religion, race.
Dont overestimate your love for India and underestimate other's.
---- How do you estimate your love for your country? How do you "underestimate" other's love for their country without saying a word about their love?
--- Anyways, let's get back to "Chacha Nehru" shall we? If you want to talk about Nationalism and Religion / Politics, please start another thread.
