Well,

Its going to be your choice.
You have family issues.
I came to Canada just so that i could bring over my mom and brother.
That part went very well. The other part was a disaster.

Toronto and Vancouver are places that fit your needs.

My advice FWIW is that go and stay wherever even a half Good Job takes you.

Recently one of my friends came over after esigning his job in Saudi. this despite me telling him not to and about the reality of the job sector for Engineers (he is a mech eng). He found out the hard way. Returned to india and last I heard was back in Saudi.

OR Move to a better place in USA. There are many places where you will find Indians in large numbers and some software jobs too.

Most important, it is easier to bring family into canda than it is in US. I am an only child and my parents are old. IF i try to do this in US, it would take 10+ years

you could face a similiar situation in Canada too, regarding your parents.

Have a look at this....

Several factors, ...
Push:
Something is going on in the US that i dont like. Religeous fundamentalism and intolerance are at a rise. Not safe for culture, faith and values.

Have you experienced it first hand? Any specific examples except the few isolated incidents in the aftermath of 911? I don't know, but I did not perceive anything like you mention. Also, I do not understand how it is "not safe for culture, faith and values.". Those are for you to keep and maintain.

Moreover, there are more indians in Canada as a proportion of the population and I am sure they have more impact on the culture and agenda there.

Quite right that there are more Indians but only as a proportion. At the same time, on an average not as affluent as in the US.
And no, I don't think they have any impact on the culture and agenda here.

I have seen more morons in clinics here than at the mental asylum in Agra, and here, they were not all patients.

I am not quite sure what you are trying to convey.

I have to take an appointment with a specialist at least 3 months in advance, 8 months for a super-specialist for my daughter. Dont know how it is in canada,

It is quite the same in Canada too. I had to wait a couple of months to get an appointment with a specialist. CT scans and MRIs have extremely long waiting times. I am surprised to hear you say that, but AFAIK several patients, especially thos who can afford it, are going over across the border to get their scans and MRIs etc. So, do not be surprised if you find the medical system here not any better, or even worse than the US.

Umm...well yeah. That is a somewhat valid point. But for your information, immigration of parents is pretty slow here too. From what I understand, it is taking more than 5 years these days for the whole process. Does it really take 10 years in the US?

Maybe the Canadian govt has realized that this liberal practice of allowing old age parents in is a burden on the health system.

Yes,
and perhaps they have also realised that it is better to take the fruit of these old age parents for the millions of 8-10$ jobs available in the economy.

Editing the above text to:
"Yes,
and perhaps they have also realised that it is better to get only the children (of these old age parents) for the millions of 8-10$ jobs available in the economy. "

But how many of the old people really get to work?

Any figure on this.

By the fruit, I meant the offspring (immigrants who actually make it to Canada) of these old age parents (who are left behind alone in their original countries).
