The federal government plans to create a new agency called Service Canada, which will act as a one-stop-shop for Canadians doing business with the government. Service centres would be established across the country, de-centralizing federal operations and raising the profile of the federal government in those regions.
Between 11,000 and 20,000 federal government jobs could be leaving Ottawa after Wednesday's federal Budget.
