I am continuously harassed by noises made my occupant living above my unit. While my unit has carpet, judging from the noises coming from above, I feel the occupant above has a wooden floor. Worse, the noises keep coming late at night or in early morning disturbing my sleep.
I have complained to management twice about this issue. They said, they are going to the people living above me. But still the noise is a continuing nuiscance. Is there any other steps I can take to alleviate this problem?

Try overtaking child's imagination
My advice would be to first find out who the resident above your apartment is and then try to explain to him/her the disturbance created by them and request them to co-operate. In most cases, (if the residents are normal and reasonable human beings), this will work.

I am looking for a more "official" or "legal" way to get things done.
Because there is no point in asking their parents to keep a control on their kids. I do not think they can ask their kids not to make noise 24 hrs a day, 365 days a year.
