I recently stumbled upon this site like 2 days ago..I thougth I was pretty good at finding stuff online but some how this site escaped me...
This site needs more exposure..It needs more people..THere are tons of Indians here in Canada who want to join this site but do not know about it..
So. how about some advertising...??

Thanks Abhi for your thought! Advertising is good option, but we can't afford it. I tried to setup with other exchange program, but they are annoying to the users as whenver you start canadiandesi it will open another window. I personally don't like it, and assume that others have same feelings too.
There are lots of people visiting this site. They are not visible as it is not compularsory for anybody to register in order to get information. It is free to all visitors except charcha and articles - you have to register to write anything to it.
In search engines rating for this site is quite good. If you search anything with canada and immigration related, chances of getting this site in top 10 is much more. Many hits are coming from google.
Please suggest me other ways of letting people know about this site.

I also have the same feelings as Abhinav. I suggest that we should have some kind of arrangemet where our site is shown as a option on some other popular ( or related sites).. It is same as we are showing the link to Bell Canada, HRDC, Canadian Univeresities under usefull links title.
I'm not sure that how we will coordinate with other sites. But the sites 123India, Indiatimess, Canada.com, Toronto.com, Settlement.org or the sites related with India and canada could be our best advertisement places. As our target group of surfers usually visit these sites..

I know what u mean by financial restrictions..and I also hate pop ups..
What i like about this site is there are no pop ups..
I have an idea in mind...I don't know how feasible it is...
There are tons of desi newspapers..Voice, LInk,India star..etc( here in Van)
May be just one small ad on the side...
Also the immigration sites.may be u can put some links over there too...
Sort of exchange links...
May be u can have a new page for links and put thier links over here and they can put this link on thier page...
Just a thought...

Now regarding readership - I think we have good response - even at this time there are 26 people online! (and that is the case always!)
