I am planning to go for skiing this winter...
I don't have much more ideas about snow skiing in Ontario.. I have selected the Blue mountain resorts to ski. ( http://bluemountain.ca/ )
Is there any other cheaper or better place for skiing ....??
Any one would like to share own experience .....?
Thanks
There is one in Toronto at Centennial Park
another at Kitchner called Chicopee.
I believe Chicopee is cheaper with equipment and beginers lessons.
Have fun

Hi jigz:
I used to live in Collingwood, near the blue mountains and used to ski almost every week in winter.blue mountain ski trails are fairly advanced but there are quite a few entry level and intermediate ski trails.Average snow grooming and density on the trails is about 12 inch approx-fairly stable for skiing.
I would suggest that you practice skiing in one of the parks in and around toronto (flat surface) before venturing out of Toronto! The main reason being that the trails in Blue mountains are mainly curvy ,winding and navigating such trails requires experience. if you get injured or develop feet injury, you may not be able to drive back to Toronto!
Other places you could try include Mont Tremblanc (in Quebec) only about 5 hours drive from here.

Finally I had a great experience of skiing.
We went to snow ski valley in Barrie .

It is much cheaper than Blue mountains and really good for beginners.
Thanks
