Considering it was only Fresher 12 post, he/she should have been given the benefit of doubt.
Before i could scroll down i understood it at being per annum. Remember the heading was Salary (periodical payments).
Fresher, one liner questions are hard to answer. If you need a good response be more detailed. Being a one word heading it did take some members curiosity to view your question as well as answer it, including myself.
Any salary is good enough as it all depends on how you budget and what kind of comforts you need. Seeing that you started from 40 going up to 70, seems you are a professional. You could be a labourer in a factory making 10 dollars an hour and it could still be good enough in Toronto.

Raj,

That's a nice one! You could have added 'per month' or per pay period!!!

I can't understand how people come up with silly questions and to top it all, silly headings!

Chandresh

Dear Mr. Chandresh,

I have nothing personal against you and I do not know you, but I feel your replies at many times have been not worthy of a forum where people look for help or answers to their queries. If you find the question giving inadequate information, please ask for deatils. In one of your replies to some asking how to get a refund of the RPRF you gave an irresponsible answer, not appropriate for a Global Moderator.

Be helpful and not sarcastic. There are enough members on this members who can do so, but in your capacity you can be much more helpful. i am writing this beacuse I felt it so and could not stop myself from writing what I wanted to write a few days back.

Anyway, cheers.

I tend to agree that Moderators should show more tolerance and patience because of their position. They should carefully word their posts in language that is commonly understood.

I fully agree with YoursTruly.

Words like stupid, idiotic, silly etc. etc. can be painful.

Gives no dignity to the reader and exposes a certain weakness in the writer, especially a leader.

As suggested, best to avoid these words.

It is an incomplete question without details about background and "decent salary" is based on personal judgement. One could be satisfied with $40K per annum salary and for another it just is not good enough. Also figures would be different if it were a bachelor as compared to a person with say family of himself, wife, and 2 kids and the guy does not want his wife to work! I think a person immigrating from USA as compared to India would have different levels of expectations.

It is just like asking if I were to buy a house in Toronto, how much money would I need without giving any details of location or how big a house I want!
