The really severe cold is probably just January and Feb.
December and March are much better.
Again, things differ year to year.
Some years are milder, some harsher.

In reality, there are probably just 5 - 6 days in a year when the snow is very heavy and disrupts normal life.
Like this year, we've had only 2 large dumps of snow.
So only 2 - 3 days have been really bad so far (crossing fingers).

Nope ! Life goes on as usual.
On a really bad snow day, yeah, things do disrupt.

I was born and grew up in Delhi as well.
It may seem extreme at first, but Toronto is not that bad compared to most other places in Canada and the US as well.
It is definetely better off than New York, the Northeastern US/Canada, and the midwest.

You don't really have to stay out that long out in the open anyway.
You come out of the home into the car or bus.
From there you go into your office or shopping or wherever.
So you have to protect yourself just for those few minutes.

The only other thing that you have to be careful about is winter driving - that's a totally different ball game.

True until you get stuck outside for extended time like waiting for bus or your car broke down in the middle of nowhere.

Learnt this lesson hard way last week. Had a flat on Thursday night and dressed appropriately for inside of home/office/car but not for changing tire outside in bitter windchill.

I suppose Three or four layers of proper clothing would serve well in times of any contingencies i.e. bus wait, car problems or is it altogether unbearable?
Except for these 3 months ,how is the weather year around?
