I have seen people moaning and groaning on this forum about lack of decent jobs in Canada ? Sometimes I wonder if all these moaners and groaners are direct immigrants from India or ppl who worked in US on H1 and moved here ? Are there examples of ppl with a US education (MS /MBA etc) from decent schools with 4- plus yrs experience in US still struggling for a reasonably good job?
Because I know many ppl with non technical degrees from India who even come to US on family sponsored GC but dont get decent jobs for long periods of time.
Anyway my main question was how is Toronto a place to stay in if you make aprox $ 60 K CD and have a decent job already lined up. How would it compare to say $ 50 K USD in Dallas/Houston.
I know it may entail a drop in standard of living, but how much ?

Try overtaking child's imagination
We want to move to Canda because we have Canada PR. My labor certification has not moved an inch in 4 yrs and it is becoming extremely difficult to get US Green Card.
Most ppl who move from US move because they prefer the immigration status stability of a Canadian PR v/s being for ever and ever on the uncertainity of a US H1 visa.
I want to move because I can get job in my field in Canada and can start my life. Without GC I am scared to buy house etc, my wife cant work legally in US, I will become illegal if I loose my job etc.
Lots of factors buddy.
PS: The way I look at it if on H1 in US and you loose your job ,you can not even afford to be unemployed because you will be out of status and illegal, at least with Canada PR we can afford to be unemployed from a status perspective.
