Re: Delhi police arrest the CEO of bazee.com where the DPS MMS sex clip was auctioned.

I find it totally incomprehensible - the false hypocrisy of a nation which has bred like rabbits to create an overpopulation of 100 crores jeopardizing the planet's resources has the morality authority to arrest the CEO of an auction site where an anonymous user sold a 3 minute MMS clip of 17 years olds engaging in oral sex.....!!
If they hear it here, they wouldn't know what to think...the image of Indian sexuality is the Kamasutra.
BBC once conducted a survey of human sexual habits and Indians are the most monogamous people in the world - almost 87% have slept with only their spouse.
It is not the morality which is abused, it is their envy which is aroused that someone else is doing it whereas they could not. This disguised jealousy is expressed as MORALITY, Indian style.
Indian newspapers have now got a subject to deal with. The story is old but the circumstances are interesting. Cell phones are now coming with camera attached to them so that you can pretend to speak but capture photographs in the sly. There are private schools where boys and girls spend hours together. There are Mumbai movies which, which, thanks to the ubiquitous Censor Board, can only afford to show a bare back and pan on to a flower vase, leaving the viewers with the wish that they had depicted a little more of the beautiful men and women who dance around in short skirts and hip hugging pants. There are video discs which give you a glimpse of the Western world freebies. And on top of everything you have a writhing mass of more than 100 crores comprising, unfortunately, of both sexes.
Among these 100 crores, about 10 crores read newspapers. Much more watch television All of them are left to wonder what we are missing in a lifetime. These include beautifully decorated firm houses, acres of land, tractors, computers, micro-ovens, refrigerators, cars, two wheelers, clean hospitals, good schools, girlfriends, boyfriends, sleeping with a person to whom one is not legally wedded, an affair to be excited about, a vacation to an exotic location where one can return to a bungalow in the night and dance around a fire with nothing but a towel wrapped around them … the list goes on. Almost everyone dies with their desires unfulfilled.
And on top of everything there is a mythology, a history and a culture. The mythology shows that there were Gods and Goddesses who had their share of fun and frolic. There were specially designated “gandharvas” and “apsaras” to provide different forms of entertainment. Some of the apsaras came to bear children in their attempt to entice a handful of abstainers. These children were then left in jungles among the birds and the beasts.
The history, also speaks of glory, wealth and a rather uninhibited society, at least as far as the men folk are concerned. There were trained courtesans who were highly revered and it used to be a matter of social pride to visit them, at least one instance of Brahmin poet who fell in love with such a lady and managed to marry her in addition to an existing wife, many of these ladies got tired of men and transferred to a more peaceful order of Buddhism, there were literatures and temple carvings which have no match in the history of the world for artistic depiction of reproductive splendour and there were vigorous kings and noblemen whose prolific actions in these respects knew no bounds. Nearer time, even the foreign invaders whose relgion did not allow such open practices got caught in the net. Thankfully, these led to creation of the best of the monuments, food, forms of songs and dances, musical instruments and literature that one can recommend for seven wonders of the world.
Given such a background, among all other desires and wishes we have the desire to engage in practices that the Mother Nature commands us to do. Mother Nature has, rather unlawfully (in present Indian terms) brewed a sense of immense pleasure and satisfaction while carrying out actions associated with human reproduction. Irrespective of sex and almost universally, as a human being attains the age of puberty, there is an urgency to carry out the real thing. Had it been any other animal, there would have been no problem. A male cat seeks out a suitable female cat. More than one male dogs seek a female dog. Human beings are not so lucky. They have bound themselves to law and social order. While in case of dogs, such actions can take place in public, without other male dogs interfering. In case of human beings, given the violence and possessiveness, there would have been chaos and disorderv resulting possibly in extinction of the entire race. After all, the battle of Troy or the battle of Lanka were fought over one specific instance of a species, though there were other samples available in plenty. However, the desire blooms at a particular age with simultaneous enhancement of what is called beauty. It is so common that unless this happens, there is a disorder and one has to consult a doctor.
Any normal person can testify how strong and overwhelming this desire is. However, in present India, we are told to wait for marriage. Marriage is a social custom wherev a male and a female are allowed by law to sleep with each other. This helps in proper upbringing of the species as a whole, ensures attention, care and education to the offspring. It is also supposed to come with a promise of faithfulness which most of the men and some women ignore. However, that is another area of discussion.
The problem is that a hope or a promise of a marriage some time in the future does not help to take away the frantic wish to experience the real thing from unmarried men and women. In Bharat, unmarried men were allowed to get themselves such pleasure. The code was not so compliant for unmarried women, but even then they were less strict in certain ages. The practices continue among some tribal sects and certain orders such as bauls. In countries comprising the geographical area that was once Bharat, it is being told that such desire is unnatural and unlawful. The entire nation of 100 crores must wait. Till such time, they may watch the bare backs and suggestive gestures of Hindi movies.
They may read Kamasutra and Geeta Govinda (for those who are exceptionally linguistically skilled). Some of them will also read Lady Chatterley’s Lover and Mills and Boon of different grades. But if you are caught practicing the real thing, we as a nation will first make a movie out of it, lap it up to our heart’s fill, publish stories in first pages of newspapers, read them and then put all concerned behind bars. The lady of 17 will suffer in hellfire for years to come, unless her family has got enough resources to take her out of this melee. I wish they do. So much for journalism in a country, which has the highest rate of tuberculosis infection, one of the largest number of poor, one of the highest growth rate of HIV infection and is one of the worst in providing public health system, education, clothes and housing.
One of my elders expressed the other day – “can you imagine, 17 years school children engaging in such practices!” I had to agree that I could not imagine how they could wait for so long. The mother of the lady who had put forward the exclamation had got married at the age of 13.
Dear friend,
Good article. In short, I just wish to add that we need to grow up in this matter. We need to educate our children about sex at the right age. That way they will know what they are heading for and what could be the consequenses (Good/bad) of such an act. I believe that education is the most important thing. Probably those kids who do not know and want to explore, land up in such a situation.
Regards
