well, it is different from person to person. Even a hindu constantly talking of mandir, religion and Rs = ?$ irritates me. I had opportunity to deal with Srilankan, Pakistanis and Chinese. It is a common behaviour to stay in the same region group. And if ever discussion starts on sentimental topics by default human nature a person would defend his/her motherland. As far as trust is concern, I trust any foreigner equally as I would trust my country men. Jelousy part, I dont understand how would BPO and IT boom in India make a pakistani or Srilankan less prosperous in Canada. It seems more like a child play, "Mere Papa tere Papa sey Jada strong"
I have couple of good Pakistani and Srilankan friends and a few irritating desi friends ready to take advantage of situation.

In fairness to DIO, ON ...there are some prejudiced people among non-indian desis, but if one comes across such behaviour , it should be a judgement for the person, not his complete social group.
Just as it would be wrong to judge all indians based on hatred shown by some indians , I feel it is wrong to judge people of some other countries on the same basis.
We indians also have diffeernt outlooks , some are more open and inclusive some are closed and prejudiced....it is interesting to see such varied response to this thread by indians with different outlooks.
This thread is turning out to be more of a reflection on our own thinking rather than our neighbours.

Hi Guys, just for the sake of curiosity, did you open a parliament house of 'little India' in Canada? When do you all come over all these little issues of liking and dislikings on the basis of religion, cast, nationalities. Just remeber don't throw stones at others if you resides in glass houses. Be Canadian guys, that's why you are in Canada
