my wife who is the main applicant got 7.5 bands in ielts, educational certificates approved by the world education sevices for equivalency. Will it help her in getting interview waiver?She got her file number in sept. 2003.
English language skills are not a factor in the interview waiver because the interview is not supposed to assess language skills.
As for interview waiver - it is difficult to say.
No one can predict that - you will have to wait and hope for the best

yes dear,
you will get interview waiver 99%. The sole purpose of the interview at CHC is to check the applicants english language skills. I also submitted my 7.5 band IELTS results and got the interview waiver letter.

Language skills are assessed in two ways - either on the basis of IELTS score, or on the basis of evidence submitted in lieu of IELTS.
If you submit IELTS score, you are guaranteed the number of points as per your score - no one can take the points away.
However, if you submit other evidence, you may or may not get the points you hoped for - it then becomes a subjective judgement on the part of the officer.
Either way, language skills are not tested in the interview any more.
Now-a-days interview is only required to confirm/verify other information in the application, such as work experience, technical skills or sometimes a random interview for QA purposes.

i think the immigration office does not look at the score but they want to see the person immigrating to canada. my wife to had a 7.5 score and but still we had to attend an interview for the immigration thou we bought are well qualified.
