CITIZENSHIP TEST !!!!!
Dear CanadianDesi,
Here is my timeline of my citizenship process!!!
We received your application for grant of Canadian citizenship (adult) on March 30, 2004.
We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application, and a study book called A Look at Canada on March 30, 2004.
We started processing your application on June 08, 2004.
Your file was transferred on November 18, 2004 to the Woodbridge office for the citizenship testing and taking of the citizenship oath. The Woodbridge office will contact you to write the Citizenship test.
Can anyone tell me the next step in this process and when will i get my test date and my oath.

here is my time line: (from the CIC website)

We received your application for grant of Canadian citizenship (adult) on December 03, 2003.
We sent you a letter acknowledging receipt of your application, and a study book called A Look at Canada on December 03, 2003.
We started processing your application on April 19, 2004.
Your file was transferred on April 30, 2004 to the Mississauga CIC office for the citizenship testing and taking of the citizenship oath. The Mississauga CIC office will contact you to write the Citizenship test.

I received the Test Letter on Nov 10, 2004.
Gave the Test on Nov 22, 2004.
The person at the test center says 6 - 8 months till final oath.

Thanks for sharing your exp. Congrats on your test. That s a very long process. So you mean it will take another couple of months to get the test date? I cant expect my citizenship till end of next year?

I applied in Dec 2003 and have oath in Dec 2004, test was in sept end 2004.

I had applied on Dec 3, 2003 and I became a citizen on 15th Nov.

I applied in last week of March 2004, probably 28th or 29th and I took oath on November 19th, 2004.

Thanks for your info. I appplied on march and got receipt on april. Now my file has been send to Woodbridge location for testing and oath. You've applied at the same time as mine on march 2004. Any advice or tips in this process.

I would say just wait and watch.
I completed my 3 years in Canada on Feb 19th 2004, applied for citizenship in March 2004 (last week), took the citizenship test on September 20th, 2004 and took oath on November 19th, 2004, exactly after 9 months of completeion of 3 years.
