Poornima is in fact working in the settlement field with people..and yes, she is a different type altogether, depends on your expectations..Pinky these days does air on FM 101.3 with Pottpourri program, with tons of songs and her melodious voice...(Actually after Pinky was sacked, there was someone else by the name of Ingrid, which really did not go well as most of the lsiteners are hindi speaking and she had some west indidan background..

As far I know, Ingrid was the host of 'Hot Like Pepper'. IMHO, one of the finest programs so far, I have heard in last 6 years. She never worked with Satinder Pal Sidhwan of Punjabi Lehran. Initially, with Pinky, Dave Tatla used to co-host but then he started his own segment by the name: PreetLari.com.
Any CD member, correct me if I am wrong.

I echo your voice about Ingrid and the "Hot Like Pepper". Don't know what happened, one fine morning when we were travelling to work (My self and two other CD members), all of a sudden instead of listening to Ingrid, we started hearing some ugly voices. 
For first few days out of curiosity we listened, however we stopped doing that with frustration. Have not heard that station again.
What happened to Ingrid and the Hot Like Pepper? Anybody?

It was really a very good program devoted to good music. It was not like the current programs which sometimes play songs if they find time in between tons of commercials.
Ingrid mentioned that the management of Hot Like Pepper did not want to compromise the quality of program by inundating it with commercials but the reality is that the radio program can not survive if it does not bring enough revenue by playing more advertisements.
They even tried to salvage the program by doing Radiothon sort of and asking for donations from the listeners. The paltry response from the listeners for donations did not help the cause and they had to shut down the shop.
I still miss those melodious songs Ingrid used to play in the morning

I find Pinky's program (potpourri) to be the best and almost reminds me of the Mirchi FM in Delhi...albeit with little less spice. Her selection of music is good and like that she is not controversial or abrupt(like host of Radio Voice) nor blabbers like other Punjabi porgram hosts. There are fewer ads and more fun and music. I now only listen to this (101.3 FM).

What is the timing for this program..I m curious now with so much praise..should listen to it...

I just tried the link again and it works. You have to click on the BOOMBOX on the top centre of the page. This site is on runs 24 hours....By the way, you can also get AM530 on your desktop/laptop/Wi-Fi enabled PDA or Mobile (not that I like that station).
