Dear All,
Can anybody get a job offer from Canada by applying from India(In Manufacturing - Field)).I mean Is it worth applying from India on different Jobsites without having workauthorisation in canada.

Its not possible. You must be authorised to work in canada. Once you have VISA in your hand, you can start aopplying sitting in india, but still preferable is you enter canada and then start hunting as employers would need your SIN (Social Insurance number).
This is my first reply to a new post. Till now I was occupied in my own mental battle, now I would also try my level best to extend the journey of so many helpfull CD members by becoming a true and fair guide for topics of my knowledge.

Not necessarily true - except that you have to be very lucky to be considered - and that would mean only a company which is ready to hire you on work permit (otherwise how would the companies get persons on work permit.)
I know a person (of IT field), who applied in a casual manner and got a phone call after 10 hrs or so. Since he did not have a phone in his house, he had given neighbour's tel no (and imagine, the call came on 1st April so he thought someone from his office was playing a prank!) - those guys called back next day and he was asked to prepare for a telephone interview. This was done a few days later, and he was offered a job on the phone. So much so that he had to hurry up submitting his desserdation or something or something he was working on, earlier than stipulated and get a special exam conducted for him in India.
He came here on a work permit soon thereafter.

I once made a mistake, but I was wrong about it.
I have also heard few fairy tale like cases of ppl getting job offers while they were in India.. I guess it was more common about 5-10 years back when Outsourcing boom was not there.. as of now its next to impossible to think of such a case..
And one more thing : You don't need a SIN to apply for jobs.. you need it only after you have joined.

thats what I was thinking....with so many skilled people coming in as immigrants it would seem bizarre to give work permits.
But I hear they are doing just that for doctors...

Yes, this case was about 4-5 years back but the fact remains that we still get a lot of foreigners on work permit to work in Canada. Infact, if I remember correctly, there was one thread where this was discussed on CD.
Infact, as late as two weeks ago I had come to know of a company wanting to hire Chartered Accountants from various countires, including India, with recent audit experience in one of the big four. They were an agency hiring for E&Y, Canada and the very fact that they were looking for foreigners, it meant it would be on work permit basis. I had posted this on CD under the jobs section.
