I am not in market right now, but based on my resume posted on monster (or somewhere else) one recruiter contacted me with following mail

star schemas to draw dimension maps through a portal)
Roles open:
- need 2 people - Senior System Analysts/ARCHITECT role- applications -
rational rose - methodology---
- need 1 person for - System Analyst role (who has ideally been involved in
a portal project)--
- need 2 people for the Senior Programmer Analyst role- VB with xml--
- need 1 person for the Programmer role with xml --
Purpose of project: Developing and implementing new systems and providing
analysis for new applications, enhancements and maintenance to existing
systems for various finance and administrative departments, i.e., Payroll,
Registrar, etc. --- 3 teams: Finance, Gateway and Portal
Rates are $50 - $90/hr (depending on level of expertise) + $ 100/day which
gets you a small furnished apartment-accomodations can be organized in
advance
Location: Nunavut (beside Yukon territory)
Duration of contract: 10 months contract easily extendable -- some people
stay for upt to 3-4 years

At first I thought I should not consider this job at all - than thought - let us have a look at what Nunavut is.
Population of entire territory is only 25,000
Max Temerature in Summer 15, but average is about 1 to 2 degree. Mean Temperature during winter is -40 degree. Most of the people are Inuits, thought most of them are English speaking.
There is only one airport and there is no road going to Nunavut from outside the world. Thrice a week flights are departing from Montreal, Ottawa and Calgary.
If I had gone there I could have earned about 200K per year.
Who want to go there even after such a lucrative benefits? Yahan par toronto ki thand se pareshan hai to north pole ki to bat bhi kaise kare?
I guess If I was around the age group of 22-25 I might have consider this opportunity. Now it is too late

One of my my dad's friend works at Iqualit, Nunavut. He invited me there, but I said NO WAY...
In my opinion instead of working there, it's better to work at Andaman.
It seems the plane from Ottawa leaves with half passengers and half luggage. (Imagine the local bus service in India - vegetable vendors, chickens along with the passengers)
BTW, they have only 1 month of summer.

If your dad's friend is Indian, he should be awarded as Northest Indian in the World!!!

Yep. He is an Indian.
There are few Indians there. He works there alone and monthly once come here to see the family.
All Govt IT projects are handled by CGI consulting guys.
Good to know that there are few Indians. It might be hard life though!
May be I should consider this opportunity

Dear Sunil,
I'm also ready to go there. I have visited this refered site. It asks to download and install nunavut fonts. But does not work after installing them.
It seems that the positions are still vacant. We need to find there phone number and talk to them directly.
