I am not coming to Canada, No no - Coming Now! By: Dear All, article.php?id=62 |
Hi VJ,
To many options for you and got confused. You have jugde what you want in life e.g for me its is the following
-better envoirment
-good working and living conditions
-More relaxed life and more time for you family. Enjoying your weekends
-Better life for your children like education, job, ( less struggle and not a rat race)
-you can persue you whatever you want and be happy
All above thing brings for me more peace and happiness.
Forget about money and money should not be the criteria. Money can be made anywhere.
If you are happy where you are with big salary, servants and bighouse, then decide to stay there. I have seen many happy face in India and they are contented with what they have and dont wish anything else( even among the poor people)
Have only two option- migrate or not to migrate. if you want to some buy time then you have made the choice
Love
Jay
Stay back in India and live a happy contended life. you would not have missed much.

I resisted to answer this thread touching the core subject but i guess its not good for my health anyways jokes apart..
I feel that job situation cannot be permanent in any country. Few years back job market in North America was very good and people rushed to North America. Then as we all are aware after dot com burst things started to change. Now definately things are not as they were before but it doesn't mean that they will remain like that forever.
Most of us had applied for canadian immigration for better future but thing may turn for good or bad and that's a risk. And I believe its also a risk not coming i guess. As there is always ups and downs. Things never stay consistant for long. But one should remember that opportunities and age dont come back. Such risks are worth taking in yonger age. I guess not trying is something which keeps anybody inexperienced.
Ofcourse this is my opinion others have different view.

VJ Based on similar logic as put by you I have taken my PR and am back in India, now. However after visiting Canada my decision has changed to shifting there. Firstly the systems and Goverment are amazingly effecient. Secondly, The number of success stories being lived out in Canada were amazing and inspiring. My Uncle in Toronto(he is 80+) says his wife's age has increased atleast 10 years after shifting to Canada. By the way he was sponsored by his son when he was seventy+. Canada has immense oppurtunities, do explore while you are there .

Itis probably for the first time i have seen that we do have some sensible people living in India and also informing the CD portal abouthe sensible decisiions also.If you analyse there are only 3 categories of jobs in Canada.
1. Call centres- for people who are professionally qualified and speak moderate to good english.
2. Factory jobs- for people who are proffessionally qualified but do not speak good english and those who do not have a reasonable good qualification.
3.Farming jobs- Wheat fields of Alberta, wood (very low now) in BC and fruits farming near Niagra.
Besides that there are no jobs and when i say no jobs really no jobs .Believeme when i say that.Further besides seeing white skin no other benefits excep for an efficient system and may be 50% bettr than the systems in our big cities. And all that story of good schools and good life is all stories .You won't be able to save any thing and that has been proven in this portal itself and will always be like a non management employee conpared to officers and senior professionals in India. If any body is enticing any body withany excuse then it is very wrong as the immigratin is primarily meant for putting money in to candian econo,my and to boost the labour force.Do no plese do not fall in the trap of migration and if somebody is mad enough to commit suicide ,then one can suggest visit and getting the PR card made and go back.Thisis being done by most of the people from the middle east.
Please also see the news papers like voice ,Mississauga news and other local news papers and you will realise that how hollow is the claim of Candian Govt. requiring professionals .
And yes skilled labour is more than welcome.

Are you there?
Its is no lie that people face problems in canada and mojority of people do face lots of problem finding job in there own field, but its not because there some phychological reasons of white community behind it. Its just that they dont know about our system. The govt may be aware but not the common employer. If anyone has to succeed in canada they will need to speak there language from their prospective. Canadian employer wouldn't know and wouldn't care to know what is the value of Punjab University Degree but they will know the value of Canadian and American degrees. For IT they will recognize Microsoft, Cisco, IBM etc certificates.. Anyone who succeeds here in canada will agree with me.We require to adopt a method which will present your skills to the employer.
I dont think any employer would like to loose a opportunity to hire the right person( be it us or local). Its just matter of how you present your case.
