Reminds me of the Indian IT market -- from formals u cud eventually find IT guys going 2 banks in casuals(T shirts & bermudas incl) in boom time which post 2000 reverted bak 2 formals ..........

Your dressing shd combine conventions plus personal preferences. I feel DB /3 buttons are more formal (fit for a dinner) than 2 buttons(which r universal) . And a sports blazer is meant for just that ---sports .

I have given interviews in Jeans and casual shirts and got in.
and now I could wear all I want.....but....
