The industry jobs or departmental shop jobs are the only choice of most of newcomers landing in canada.Can other type of job oppertunitiies can be availed by newcomers which may be modratly paid.

You can get into telemktg, adminstrative position or even a job in your own field. It depends on your preferences. But try to avoid ind jobs, coz it can kill you physically. With the grace of GOD, I never had to do anything like that. I did telemktg for first 2 months only.

Thanks for nice response. As veterinarian what are the adminstrative posts i can adopt there after landing. Can in banking sector, insurance sector etc can be adopted easily there.

Well to switch here is never a problem. Ofcourse most of them had to switch to labour jobs extra.. out of compulsion.

There are vocational courses like for banking sector which can give you some sort of base in that area. Each field has its own parameters of measurement.

As veterinarian you might have good scope in your field as most of people have animal pets here and they spend a lot on animals. I am not sure if you can practice privately or not? May be other members might shed some light on it.
