Hi,
I have been active on this forum since last one year.
My main work is in 3d Gaming, 3d Animation, web and graphic design and am presently in Vancouver.
I got a job last year as a web designer in September and then got laid off from my job in May. Rite now I am doing freelance web and graphic work.
After staying in Vancouver since last 1 year, I am getting tired of this place and considering moving to Toronto.
I have had no luck in finding jobs in 3d even though I have had interviews but things have not worked out.
What should I do? Should I make a move to Toronto and start life from scratch (even though I have friends and some “ distant family” there) or should I stay in Van and fight it out and be happy with what I get like a labour job or a web design job.
Everyone whom I have talked to, says Toronto is big and but is very cold, the job scene is better than Vancouver but still very competitive.
My main reason for moving to Toronto would be a lot number of gujjus and better job prospects.
I would like to hear from you, what do you suggest and what do you recommend.
Any help appreciated.
Regards,
Abhi

If I were you, I'd move. Not only because Toronto's a bigger market but also when you're stuck in a rut sometimes, a change of location does a lot of good. I'm assuming you're single so that makes the move that much easier.
If you do move however, move in summer. Don't make the mistake of moving in winter here, you'll hate the place for the rest of your life.
Or how about Montreal? Maybe you can get in touch with Jake3d and he can guide you better about Montreal.
And you bet there are a lot of gujjus here now including yours truly.
