Hey guys, I've been granted PR status since 2016 after which I went back and been waiting on a job offer to start my career in Canada.
I'm in India and thought since all employers want you to apply online it'll be same as applying from Canada and wouldn't matter. I'm still looking for work and working on my current job in India. I'd like to know if there's anyway I can 1) Get job 2) maintain PR or even better if there's a way to qualify for citizenship after 3 years. I know I need to be physically present in Canada but what are my options?
Is it possible to state that I've been in Canada ?
Would appreciate your help as I've spent plenty to get PR.
In order to get your citizenship, you have to be present in the country..plain and simple english, unless if you're employed by a Canadian firm and your work requires you to travel outside the country.
How do you get a job - keep applying or through networking (which can only happen from inside the country, unless if you have a way out to do it from outside the country).

Getting a job in Canada can take time. Unfortunately that is how it is and job search can be quite frustrating. Most employers are not interested in interviewing candidates who are overseas if they have local candidates available.
For maintaining PR and citizenship, you have to be in Canada and your stay has to meet the current rules. Wrongful declaration would only complicate things.
