As the topic says.
If you are a well educated and qualified immigrant, who is coming here alone or with family, under the family category or skilled class, have a plan for only 3 years.
By now its a well known fact that educated immigrants don't do well in racist Canada. Racism and discrimination are rampant in Canada as we all know, by now. Especially racism by employers and at the workplace.
Anyway after 3 years you will get Citizenship. So somehow survive for 3 years and then leave.
You can take welfare and visit food banks for 3 years. This is the most favourable route.
The other option is to do labour jobs in factories, warehouses, retail stores, McDonalds, drive a cab. I would advise against it. As the pay is very low. Also its not good for your Knees and Back. You will be physically and mentally exhausted at the end of the day after doing these jobs. Its not good for your self esteem and self respect either.
The third option of working in your field and profession, doesn't exist in Canada. In US it's there, but NOT in Canada. Canada is NOT US. One of the biggest mistakes wannabe immigrants to Canada make. Canada doesn't care about your education or qualification.
Canada is a low level low class underdeveloped racist country. It's basically a third world country masquerading as a first world country. Actually most third world countries like India, China, Brazil are better and more advanced and better than this Polar bear and Eskimo Winter Wasteland.
There are NO good jobs in this country and very HIGH taxes in Canada. Whatever good jobs are there are very few, and they are reserved for the Whites aka GORAS. So if you are brown skinned desi and dreaming of working in your profession, stop dreaming and wake up, the reality is about to slap you in the face like a sledge hammer.

After coming here. Either leave immediately after seeing the nonsense over here. Do some sightseeing before leaving, as you have spent lot of money in coming here.
OR, leave after 3 years with Citizenship and passport.
So either a 0 year plan or a 3 year plan. Any other plan and you will waste your life and time in the Frozen Tundra.
I had a well qualified friend who came here as an immigrant. From a top engineering and MBA college in India. Wife was also very qualified.
Saw the racism and discrimination, and within a month realised what Canada was all about. Didn't even wait for 3 years for the Citizenship nonsense.
Did some sightseeing here, also went to US for some sightseeing and then high tailed it out of here, back to India. Now both of them are doing very well in a Metro in India. Good job, car with a driver, maids, servants and very good social and professional life in India.
Applied for hundreds of jobs over here in his profession. Never got any response back. Whatever few interviews he was called for, they dismissed his Indian education & experience and asked him to get lost and wasted his time and energy. His wife also had the same experience.

Oh really??? When did this rule change? I thought it was 4 years, but obviously I am not upto date with changes brought to immigration and citizenship policies.
However, I wonder if one does not want to stay in Canada, why would one want to get Canadian citizenship - can someone enlighten me on this? It is always nice to learn something that you are not aware of.

How is life in the fast lane. Also welcome back to ``CILIVIZATION` Those are the kinds of comments I am facing every alternate posting and I grin and bear it. But it reminds me of the good old days that everyone had to face. So the twist to the spelling.
Every post I used to tell the people who questioned about CITIZENSHIP, you have to wait for a few more days. Then finally one day they decided to lower the NUMBER OF REQUIRED YEARS Back to THREE YEARS! Hip Hip Hooray.
Now, only if these Indian Immigrants will only continue to stay and give them hell, then I will really happy about it. Why go back home and disturb the shit there.

and let me give a proof which best of the dud cannot deny , There are 35 Gurudwaras and temples within small region of peel , all in super fine condition and thriving , if immigrants are starving and being discriminated who is running them ... Goras ?

BTW, I didn't know there were that many Gurudwara's and temples in Peel. Although I have seen the number grow over the years.

Want to add 2 points to gauge the prosperity. On the road, see who is driving which Car. If majority of a community is driving good and costly cars, you can have an idea. Secondly the prosperity of the worship place or you can say God or deity directly related to the prosperity of its followers or the worshipers. Prosperous followers prosperous God.
