Depression and Anxiety are huge issues for Desi immigrants who come to Canada. Some reasons :
1. Cold, Dark & Extreme temperatures in Winter Wasteland.
2. Racism and Discrimination. Always a Second class citizen & inferior treatment to Goras.
3. Unable to find jobs in their respective professions.
4. Social isolation. No friends and no social life.
5. Missing India & getting homesick.
6. No sense of belonging to Canada. Just a piece of paper called Canadian citizenship.
7. No savings. Debt and living pay check to pay check doing labour jobs and survival jobs.
8. Cultural shock.
9. Kids become westernised. No longer in Indian culture & abandon their parents when they grow up.
10. Multiculturalism is a big and failed joke in Canada. Each culture and race just sticking to their own.
No mixing with each other.
