It has been over 5 years and 4 month since I left Canada for India.

I am considering returning to Vancouver, Canada in the near future (say after 2 years).

I am an Architectural Draftsperson by profession and is there a possibility of working in the US legally with a Canadian passport sans TN Visa or a H1B Visa?

Is it possible to move to the USA (as a visitor) and then work at a factory there (labor job) and then some how regularize there, as it is being done by tons of refugees and Mexicans there ?

Please let me know if there are any such possibilities ?

No legally without TN or H1B is almost impossible. Some small company with whom you have connections and contacts might fake your status & allow you to work legally, but most won't take that risk.
There are 12 million illegal immigrants in US. Its a myth they can become legal easily. There is a very very long shot and only a fraction will under rare circumstances. There is a reason they are still illegal.

I do not think there would be that many Canadians working without a visa in US working below minimum wage which cash jobs often are. If they wanted to do so minimum wage or cash jobs, they can do it in Canada itself plus they have universal healthcare here.

I am not really sure what you are up to but may be try a lawyer.

TK what exactly happened? I thought you were doing very good in India! Was that all fluff? Working under the table in the US is about the worst thing you could do.

To be a legal immigrant , you need to be on a Visa or a status.

Other options besides H1 or TN for Canadians to work authorized are

Business (E2 / EB5)

Inter company transfer L1 ( a or b)

TN is a special option for Canadians and should be utilized in case one does not want to go on H1.
