Hi There,

I would like to know the procedure to apply Super visa for my parents. They are back in India and myself & my family we are on PR (Permanent residence) status in Canada.

We lives in Ottawa Ontario (province). Appreciate if you could guide us step by step procedure to apply we need to call them and join with us in Mid of July 2016.

Can we still apply for this year 2016 for Super visa is it still open? If there is no chance for Super visa what will be the alternate option to call can eligible to apply Visitor visa? how long the visitor visa valid etc and procedure to apply.

Thanks in advance and looking forward for your swift responses.

The CRA (Canada Revenue Agency) issues to you a NOA ( a Notice of Assessment) after you file a tax return. I know most of us make a decent wage and it enables you to INVITE a few people to visit Canada. So, you do have a very good chance of bringing in your Parents on a Super Visa.

1) Nice to have a letter of Employment from your work place.
2) It will be a good idea to get all of the Passport details etc., from your Parents.
3) With the Passport Details prepare an INVITATION letter for BOTH of them.
4) Since you say SUPER VISA, I am sure that they are not employed or have their own business and so, prepare a list of the properties and pensions or other income that they make per month, just to tell them Canadian High Commission in India) that they are retired and have sufficient income and hold some properties there.
5) List of places that they have gone out to see, OUT SIDE of India and the dates and the Passport entries. (Stampings)
6) Go to a local Travel Agent (Not you) and get an itinerary and a proposal to travel to Canada, when ever that you want them to get them into Canada. It is not a Ticket but only a plan and the availability of the seats. (If you are applying for SUPER VISA, then, One way booking with an open ticket. It will be lost costlier, but will get them into Canada, as they have a ticket to leave Canada.(Intentions to leave)
7) You will need insurance and there are a few local Super Visa Insurance sellers who will provide you with a Policy for that and it is only active if they get the Super Visa. (Some will give you a break with reduced premium and even a monthly pay policy.)
8) You can apply on the web from here and provide CIC (IRCC now) all of the required details from home and send the papers to your parents over the net to them and if they are close to the VISA Center there, then take their PP's and drop them off or send it by Courier there and..
9) You can also pay the Visa Fee too here on the web and attach the details of your payment to it.

10. Now you are getting yourself ready for their arrival. Give your Parents all of the contact details and a little bit of guidance if they have not traveled outside of India.
If they are savvy people, then, they can contact you from any airport with their computers or any kind of PADS as the airports are Traveler friendly and WIFI is available to them to access.

I will give you the links to the CIC for the application process or please see a few of my older posts for most of the details.

If you need any more help, please drop us here a note and everyone will be free to respond back to you.

FH.

Hello,

Many thanks for the detail information. Please click on below URL's about Supervisa Category.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/parents.asp

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/media/notices/2016-01-07.asp

Please advise can we still apply for Super visa category and get it until Jul 2016? If not i guess we are OK to apply visitor visa?

Also, need to know my parents lives in Hyderabad and which is the nearest Canadian high commission to approach?

Do you mind to share if you know any good reputed agents in India who can do the work for us.

Thanks in advance.

Thank you for the above posting. There is a program called SPONSORING and the number of applicants for the year 2016 was 10,000 and it got closed when they received FULLY Completed applications with the FEES for processing. The next opportunity and the number will be determined by them at the start of the next cycle. (which they will determine and announce the same to you, on 3rd January 2017)

For Super Visa and Ordinary (Tourist/Visitor) Visa, which is generally open and you determine what kind of visa you want to apply and complete the procedures. Please see if you do qualify, before you file your application.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/supervisa-who.asp

ALSO.. from the above link.
Immigration officers consider several things before they decide if you can come to Canada. You must be a real visitor to Canada who will leave by choice at the end of your visit. An officer will look at these things when you apply:

your ties to your home country,
the purpose of your visit,
your family and finances,
the overall economic and political stability of your home country, and
an invitation from a Canadian host.

You must also:

prove that your child or grandchild in Canada meets a minimum income threshold,
provide a written statement from that child or grandchild that he or she will give you financial support,
have valid Canadian medical insurance coverage for at least one year and
have an immigration medical exam.

IN ADDITION.. : Parents and grandparents who wish to spend an extended period of time with their families in Canada also have the option to apply for the Parent and Grandparent Super Visa. The Super Visa offers holders the option of staying in Canada for up to two years, whereas the regular visa provides a six-month maximum.

Date Modified: 2016-01-07. This is very much upto date.

SO, You can try and obtain a SUPER VISA for them. For that you need to show all of the above and apply for it with the payment of the fees. (Please make sure it is a COMPLETE Application and NO details are left out. ) Verify all of the details from their GUIDE. Pl. see below.

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/5256ETOC.asp

We all are familiar with this and if you need further assistance, continue with you queries under this. We will respond back in due course.

Hope this clears your doubts.

FH.

Edit.: http://www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/india/contact_us.html

I don't want you to spend a wasteful amount of Rs.10,000 just to fill an application. April to July is a very long period and it only takes you a day or two to get your ducks in a row and it takes about three weeks at the most to get things completed. They will issue to you a visa in Two weeks plus a day or two. That is the processing time. See their web site. (CIC) YES there are people who do this for a fee there.
I can provide you with a link too, if you need. fh

Process in India:

1. Not sure does it require Medical examination to be done at panel physician in India? for parents before apply the visa in registered ? or after not clear for us.

EVERYONE will issue to you a policy, you don't have to pay the full amount. (One month) just to get started. When the VISA gets approved, then pay the full amount. (REFUNDABLE if they leave early!!)

2. Canadian Medical Insurance policy to be taken for 1 year. If the visa get reject for some reason can this policy refund?

2a. INVITATION LETTER for each one of them. (It carries more weight if NOTARIZED.)

Photocopies will do...
