The guy has asked for suggestions and he has explained his situation honestly. I wonder why few of us started criticizing him. Have we never got speeding ticket or we never got it busted?

The easy way is to go through any ticket buster but it will cost you around $200 otherwise do some research on internet and you will get good suggestions from this as well as other forums.

Pay the fine and move on. Hopefully this serve as a lesson for you to not break the traffic rules in the future. You are endangering both yours and other peoples lives on the road.

Agreed.
Thats why advise given ie ..to plead guilty and request the judge to pay less fine quoting his financial situation. Judges have discretion and can even ask the deponent pay just nominal fine ( one rationale here is it saves lot of court time for not going to trial).

Delhite, I agree with you, I was being judgmental. But I cant help it when I see posters like this coming on public board without any regret asking for ways to get discount. Hope this person realizes his mistake and correct it soon enough. Being on EI is not an excuse for speeding, its just irresponsible in my opinion. There are not many ways you can go about it. The easiest option is to google. Sorry for the rant.

Hasni... I brought this about a month ago about the RADAR devices and the thread is still floating around. No body followed it up in that Thread.

There are a few ParaLegal's and TICKET Handlers that have helped speeding tickets for people like you. Some of them might have kept themselves upto date with these Radar Devices and how they Calibrate and "if they all of these Radar Guns" have been Re-Calibrated and you happen to be one of their victims after that. But if they are not recalibrated, then, I would say go and fight it, because they will have a back log of 10 LONG Years worth of court cases to fight in the courts and your case might surface upward after a few more years. By then you might have made a million bucks in the lottery to pay for all of the other's tickets too. OR They might drop all of them "IN TOTO".

SO, Good Luck.

GO FIGHT IT. It does not matter if you win or lose. You will come up on top.

Hope this helps you a little. Also read and carry this to the Lawyer.

FH.

I would suggest do not pay the fine.. go to court and do Settlement for ur demerit point.. points r imp.

Don't hire traffic ticket consultant they r rip off.. present ur self and talk to prosecution. To keep all points

Now u learn it lesson next time stay in limit, over speeding will cause harm to everyone including u

Hasni:
I would have suggested paying up the fine if your speed was just 29 kms over the maximum posted.
40 kms (are you sure it is not 39 kms?) over the speed limit puts you in the next slot where in you get 3 or more demerit points and your insurance increases atleast 2 fold.

There is a detailed post as to how you should fight your ticket. You file a complaint in the court and the process will go on. How to do this is mentioned at the back of the ticker. Mean while, read how you can fight the ticket.

I had a very bad experience with ticket busters and hence will not recommend that. Do it yourself.

FIDO and HIREN are experts in this. Wait for their opinions.
