I just switched my cellphone plan from Rogers to Wind mobile 3 months ago....so far is good...once in a while lost connection, bad reception happening but overall I am happy with Wind network.

I was a long time customer (almost more than 9 years) with Robbers (opps sorry Rogers..;) ). Rogers was charging me around $35/month but only 150 mints daytime, no data, no VM, etc...

switched with Wind mobile $39/month, unlimited talk and text (USA and CANADA), Data, VM, caller ID, etc..

Choice is yours.....

The carrier may also have a provision loosely termed "assumption of liability.". This allows the new owner to take over the contract (most likely the months left) but change the plan (go to a different data plan/calling plan / etc.)

For some lost connection , bad reception may not be lucrative .
What good is the phone when its not there in case of emergency or in outskirts of Toronto .

At the end you get what you pay for . Not that I am advocating Rogers but companies have BIG overheads to maintain descent network . Part of the price is paid by us since these companies have to build their network even where population exist next to none due to govt policies .

Speeds on mobile data from Rogers/Bell / Telus and Wind are not even comparable besides the solid network that is built over decades .

I may switch around Rogers , Bell or Telus but no way to Wind or companies like mobilicity .

agreed whatever you said,

there is always an option available to choose roaming or other network once you do not have reception or bad reception in wind network....still roaming charges on wind is way less than rogers.

Perhaps, I had a bad phone plan with rogers so whenever I was getting message or pick up the phone outside GTA area....rogers roaming charges was way high.

as I mentioned, choice is yours....if you are a businessmen and your phone is your bread and butter than I must stay with big players only like, rogers, Bell, TELUS, etc..

like me who need phone for basic requirements so for me it does not make any different if I missed one call and get VM later on....

cheers...

I use Wind and it is OK but not reliable ... many times in times of need , it has failed me and once even on Dundas Square I had to borrow some one else's phone. :)

Though I must admit that out of the Wind Zone and including in the US , the service works excellent as it goes on to other networks then .. :)

But it is OK for my needs , however the poster above specifically mentioned 'reliable'.

Mobilicity since with Rogers network is far superior in reliability and coverage currently ...It is no longer HSPA as earlier ...

Use Chatr $25 unlimited plan and pay $15 for 1GB data on top. Total $45 with taxes. Rogers network. This, provided you have your own unlocked phone.
