If it was already present and nothing new , what would have been the need to pass an amendment ?
Here is the change/amendment to the Act:
"The government said that the amendments seek to rectify the current Act which has put the "entire onus" of getting compensation, fixing the responsibility for delayed services on the citizen. The Bill envisages entrusting a 'Competent Officer', person not below the rank of Deputy Secretary, with the purpose of effecting payment of compensation to an individual and recovery of the compensation from the officer or person responsible. "It shall be the duty of the concerned competent officer to ensure that the compensation is paid to the applicant within days as prescribed under the rules on which the service is provided failing which the citizen shall be paid double the said amount and it shall be deducted from the salary of the competent authority," an official statement said."

It appears that this attempts to make the babus and Govt employees more accountable for their work and efficiency ( which we know is pathetic).
Appears to be a right step in the right direction.

that means now today onwards after Kejriwal's amendments in Delhi, all Govt. offices Babus are going to change their behaviour in one day and will be more serious about their job and will take all responsibilities to short it out common man problems......
Do you think so I doubt it and if yes than you are still living in the Dream...!!!
Who said one day ??
Its a right step in the right direction and gradually it will help in reaching the objective .
Do you think it is a wrong step and should not have been done ??

Yes you are right .. absolutely right ...
We are with NaMo and BJP as much with Kejriwal or Nitish Bharadwaj or Justin Trudeau as they all are elected representatives ...
However time is a good parameter ... whereas no one expects overnight miracles but a time period of 6 months , 1 year , 3 years and 5 years should be having different sets of parameters .
Plus we should also be seeing progress .
Wasn't it Rajnath Singh who claimed that they would get back all the black money in 100 days not one ?
And wasn't it NaMo who said that the money brought in would be equivalent to 15 lacs per Indian citizen ??
How long do you expect should be the timeline for that ..... 50 years , 10 years , 5 years , 3 years or 100 days as claimed by their own leaders ???
These kind of tall claims and then not being able to deliver upon them .... has been one of the reasons why NaMo and BJP lost in Bihar .
