I also find the constant questioning of who I am, why am I born, what is my duty, what is my destiny - are all 'khayali pulao' - the rumblings of an idle brain. If you are constantly busy trying to do what you enjoy the most, spending the living moments they way you want - these thoughts will not arise until you die.
Ekdum Sahi Bola
My few precise cents – during the initial search of truth of life and to answer some basic questions related to my life such as ‘What is the purpose of this human life’, I have tried to find answers through different religious sects and different concepts of God. I have also lived the life through their ways. During that time, I have found other ‘seekers’ and listen to their journey. Most of us were in search of ‘The Destination’ of this human life journey. Later I have realized that the purpose of this human life is ‘This Journey’ and not ‘The Destination’. This is how I see it through the truth of my realized life. The concept of God lies in ‘The Destination’. The process of realization lies in ‘The Journey’.

Well said by all (Febpreet, Fido, Hiren)
Even I have the same thoughts about GOD & Religion.
But generally when I talk about it among my friends and family they think I am stupid.

Live and let live!
It is good that we are discussing this difficult topic. I am a strong believer of a creator of this universe.
Just a few examples:
Things we are seeing are so amazing that without a perfect planner it would be hard to do so. Even to understand GOD particle we needed thousands of top brain in the world, and considering the entire universe that event is very negligible. Though we have succeeded in unfolding many secretes of this universe we are still crawling. And we are just 'discovering' things, we are not 'creating'.
Men celebrated conquering Moon, but thinking about the whole universe it is nothing. Not an exact comparison but it is like an ant moving an mm in the eyes of an Elephant. So many galaxies and beyond which we don't know. In Sanskrit there is a verse that says the God is always 10 inches (Dash - Angul) bigger than the Universe.
We can say that we decide (or wish) everything and than do the activity. For example I want to study, I want to play, I want to drink water etc. We say I did this and I did that. Same way we say I woke up. Is it true? When you were slipping your senses were gone. They came back only after you wake up, so saying that I woke up is wrong.
The distance between earth and moon is so perfect. Without that perfection life would not have been possible. The earth's rotation, the earth's inclination, human body temperature, heart bits, there are so many amazing things. It is not possible to list all of them but there is a nice book on this "The universe around us". It has tremendous examples of wonderful things. The "Later Year's of Albert Einstein" is also a worth read.
There is a common question on why there is a poverty if there is a god. Think about the world if everyone is happy. Why would one need to work? Why would all of us migrate to Canada? It is our desire to achieve something (with a perception that we don't have everything) that makes us move. Otherwise the stones are most happiest things in this universe. They don't have wish and so they are happy. Do we want to become like those stones
Poverty is indeed state of mind. Some people could be poor by money but rich in terms of happiness. And one person's happiness could be other persons reason to be sad. If an only Doctor in the remove villages wishes to god to increase his income, god is not going to kill everyone in that village.
