I am just curious...how actually are people going to buy any of these properties for investment?
Options:
A) Lots of surplus money.
B) getting loan or borrowing to invest.
Are CD's really going around buying properties? I would think most of us are in a wait and watch mode to see how the economy goes. I seriously doubt if anyone here has a hard cash of even 50 K in the bank.
Is it the real estate industry strategy to keep the market hot?
Is the goal to make a quick "pump and dump" strategy?

Not sure if CD's going to buy property or not - but i can tell you that lot of CD's have more than 50k in their bank account - don't take CD's easy - we all know how to save hard cash
may be new immigrant still are going on saving target but seniors are well settled

Frankly speaking, we don't hv 50k in bank account. I believe money should roll and never kept idle lying in bank or home. How will economy grow if money lies idle in bank or at home?

HP - there are lot people with 50k to 100k in - I know few of them - but yes they are not risk taker - so they saved up and few are investing in safe secure with min intrest gain.
again: i said i'm not sure CD's will invest in RE or not but they are lot of people with saving ... don't consider CD's to be poor - lot of them are in very well financial situation ( mostly upper middle class) .
We desi's are not poor labour class people - most of them make 50k up salary or have small/medium businesses
I found most middle class or even lower middle class like to play safe and secure - how many desi's you see on welfare/financial assistance or fake disability benefits ??? - i encounter mostly with hard working peoples - hardly see losers in our community

I know one 'Loser' on the board frequenting off and on
But he is not a loser in real sense either ...just an alias that he created when he could not get back to the US ...But I guess he is there for some time and if CD had an option of updating alias name , he would have surely updated it to 'Winner'
