I was talking to a friend in San Francisco about this YOGA fever and the way it is being handled in the news media. He said that the weight loss fever and aerobic systems have caught on everywhere and most of them manage their requirements all by themselves, unless they are desperate in meeting people and socializing after their exercising etc., Some complexes have their own room and groups that share and work together too.
Also he travels between SFO and Chicago ORD and now sees a space allocated specially for YOGA buffs in each of these two airports for their exercising and postures and they have provided mats inside to make it look posh. Some times it is well utilized and even with all of the crowd there, it is so silent and whisper-less even while they are going through their workouts, (Aasanas,) he finds it eerie. Well there you go, that is news you can use, if you want to snooze there.
FH.
Some of the newspaper reporters will put a twist on this or any news item to sensationalize it and we fall a prey to it. (Gotcha)

On a serious note, yoga may help people of India to maintain good health.
Of what use it can be to slaves of India who may number anywhere between 115 to 120 crores. Their doing all household work themselves, getting bundled up in public transport and working/getting exploited long hours by their maliks/thakursaabs are all yoga. Yoga may benefit the remaining 5 crore population who cannot or will not do their own household work themselves, but depend on domestic help.
Whether it is NaMo or MMS, their governments operate only for this remaining 5 crore population.
The 115 crore slaves of India are watching all the tamasha in stupor.
